Born and raised in Charleston. Line St and Hanover 36 years.if you want to find some good stuff I recommend you go to Chicora-Cherokee neighborhood where the Hebrew Jew indigenous people identified as Indians but where from the Igbo tribe now called Gullah.

This is an incredibly cool video, I live in Charleston and it’s so cool to think how much history is buried right under our feet. Thank you!

It is extremely generous when a property owner will let you dig up their lot. I had six months to dig holes all over a 1770's Spanish/British site, it was one of the best sites I've ever had to dig and detect. It was in the heart of a historic district and a few of the historic society folks were kind of pissy about it, but the owner was absolutely fine with us.

That’s how rich Charleston people are when their neighborhood looks “ugly”
