Yeah there are some reallly nice rhombohedral and dogtooth calcite crystals in some of those agates!😄 if i find good ones i usually leave them intact but usually its just a small film so i opt to remove the calcite to show the quartz in that instance. But its an insult to dissolve a good rhomb surrounded by druzy😂

It really is amazing!😄 that spot really never gets old, and the fun doesnt stop after the digging is done cuz those things absolutely transform after an acid dip😄

They were all so pretty! I think the one that was totally filled with Calcite and hiding beautiful crystals was amazing! At 14:45 ish, we’re those Labradorite flecks on the end? I was seeing some beautiful blue flashes! Hi Alexis, you made me laugh peeking out behind Theo!😂 Can’t wait to see that big geode cut and polished! Awesome treasures!!👍👍👍

Really beautiful Bear Canyon agates! I know the heat must have been pretty bad out there. I hope Kate is good now. I do love the collaboration videos!

So I recently started adding water to my felt pad for the final polish against all advice. Zero regrets. I feel like I’m getting a better polish out of it now. That being said, yours came out awesome! Thanks for the video brother.

I hear you on the heat keeping you from cutting man. July in Florida ain't fun. I have a very short window in the morning where I can do it out of the sun. I did not prepare enough this Spring, not by a mile. I spent 3 hours cutting in the afternoon 2 weeks ago. Brutal.

You use the same area on the disc when you rock your stones. That causes wear patterns in the disc. IF You would move the stone closer to the Edge and back toward the center, your disc would last longer. Not saying to start now, but when you start a new disc, polish with all of the polishing surface..

Wow! Too many amazing pieces to pic a favorite. I do love the fortification agates and the quartz crystals and the calcite are crazy! Such an awesome place, the scenery alone is fantastic then you add the agates and geodes. 🤯 Thank you for sharing your trip and all of your beautiful pieces! ✌️🤠

Those were some Beary nice agates/geodes. You know now that next time I come down I’m gonna be headed that way. Be prepared!😂. I’m gonna bring the geode cracker with me too lol!(if he’s able to of course hehehe). Any issues with the reptiles up there?

It can work great and sometimes it doesnt at all😂 the problem being when im deep down in a hole the camera is just recording the dirt above me🤦🏻 so when im out of the hole the headmount is ideal but i need the tripod once i get into it

So when looking for bear canyon agates. Do you just look for a spot in the canyon along the wall and dig?

Is the yellow crud on the outside kind of clay-like? In a pegmatite dike in Nova Scotia I found smoky quartz, mica, and black tourmaline, surrounded by yellow clay.
