Thanks for the video. Glad you enjoyed the single track in Cedar City. That "Three Peaks" section is where the NICA kids race, including State Championships. Utah is Mtn Biking heaven.

Why is riding on the drops a bad thing for you? I have way more control on them. Better grip, braking efficiency and lower center of gravity. I say this being one of the fastest riders on technical stuff. Very cool videos. Always watching.

I thought that comment funny as well. Drops on single track is mandatory to better control the bike. I couldn’t imagine staying on the hoods through chunk.

It is interesting to note that gravel racers on uneven surfaces can ride a line while road racers on perfectly smooth boulevards jerk sideways with each pedal stroke and smash into each other CONSTANTLY.

Kentucky? I’m in Kentucky, too! Great videos, man. BWR seems a bit too gnarly for my old crippled self, but I’d love to hit Big Sugar one day.

There’s enough off road that this should just be a mountain bike race. Back before gravel existed, some of our mountain bike races were essentially gravel races. Of course this was in Alaska and the dirt roads were so washboarded that one would have to be insane not to ride a mountain bike; a gravel bike would have been brutal. But there’s quite a bit of proper off road in this race.

Thank you for recording as much as you did, i hate those videos where someone shows you a 10 second clip and then talks at the camera for the next 5 minutes, repeat.

Awesome video, thanks for posting this! I also do poorly at elevation, but unfortunately for my lungs, high elevation singletrack is awesome. Do you have any thoughts on how you'll handle the elevation at Leadville? Thanks again and good luck this season!
