I want to say I watched this video over 6 times and was finally able to make a batch this weekend I did al the research and used jojoba and almond oil and the rest I use what you did for hard butter and it turned out fantastic! I was so impressed with it that in comparison to a store bought product this beats it hands down for creaminess and luxury feel when I rub in my hands. And it and fast without a greasy feel. Absolutely loved it and cannot wait to make a different batch with another scent now.

I have been searching and searching for a great moderately heavy creamy body lotion recipe and instructions! This will be my first time making lotion. I have made several body butters, but wanted a lotion that sinks into the skin a little better. Thank you thank you thank you for this recipe! I am so excited to try this. Will be using a little bit of lanolin, kukui butter, meadowfoam oil, primrose oil... and who knows what else yet… aiming for lots of luxury! We are going into winter and my skin is always very very dry. And this is for me personally, I do not sell, but I will absolutely use a preservative! Thank you so much Ellen, I so admire you!

You're welcome! I bring it to a simmering boil to kill any airborne germs and it incorporates better with the oil portion when it's really hot...

Thanks for watching. Colloidal oats are made with the whole oat grain, including the germ, they are pulverized/ground into a super fine powder. You don't have to use it, I just like how they are on the skin.

Hi Ellen, I am looking for a product I could add to my lotions for sunscreen protection. Do you have any ideas? Thank you.

I haven't made a sunscreen, so I'm not sure... Zinc Oxide is used in some sunscreens..?

Ellen, sorry for the questions but do you know if I can add colloidal oats or powdered milk to melt and pour soap?

I'm not sure, as MP is not my primary craft. Bramble Berry has lots of MP recipes, so I would check them out..

Is this pumpable do you think? I made some and it’s perfect in a container Just wondering if i could put it in a pump bottle

It's a bit too thick for a pump. You could up the liquid portion or reduce the E-wax for a thinner finish
