You know I have never run into that problem. Not sure why with all the auxiliary hydraulic fittings and hoses around here. But having seen this will surely help. This is a good idea for sure and really to relieve the pressure would involve only a very small amount of oil, I am sure. We are getting little cherries starting to develop on the trees, first time in years. Hope you are having a good weekend and hope you are seeing your fruit trees develop this year too. Thank you for the video and that idea.

They usually will release when you connect them but with the resent temp swings I couldn't push hard enough to release the pressure but this works great. As you said a small amount of oil is all it takes. I won't get any fruit again this year. When I have time I may have to rethink the variety I have. I hope you have a good week Glenn!

Great job and the effort is worth the $85.00 which is a common price for those on line.

Had the same problem on the female side if my grapple. I had lossen the connector on the line further down on the grapple. It worked but wish I had a rig like you made. Did not really follow how you had screwed the pipe cap and some washer there I guess to the back end of your release connector. Thank you

Good thinking! It looks like a good solution to me.

So I bet you could make one for the male side as well, I know they sell them but they’re like 50$ plus shipping. Thanks for sharing nice work!

Who sells them? I found one in Australia but I'm afraid of the shippping and the sale price is 215 dollars for just the female end, male end 195.

Smart! I wonder why the tool doesn't exist. Perhaps standard to have the male and female the other way around? The problem seems more likely to exist on the pressure-side (more oil to expand due to temperature changes) of things and the tool exist for the male connection? Just wondering why the tool exist for one connection and not the other. Thanks!

I had the same thoughts. I am using it on my kubota loader and the fittings were installed when I bought it so I would think others would have the same issue. Anyway, this is working so all is good.

Most machines have a process to release the pressure, depending on the system. The implements on the other hand have no easy way of releasing the pressure. Even on my machine with the release activated there can still be pressure at the coupling that won't allow easy hook up.

Bro, these are like $200 in Australia. Make some and put them on etsy.

Yeah, I saw that, 215 and then there is shipping to the states! and with how the new normal is going it would take two years to get here.
