I forgot how much i enjoy Roach's DIY videos and well videos in general. Cracking job mate. With that amount of Realestate on the back of the bike (thanks to Funky and his odds and sods) i would defo look into a Swag over a tent Mike. Just so bloody easy to pitch up and bed down any place you like. Going to be an epic trip for sure. ATB Moose.

Thank you sir, you have cleared out my doubts on whether to drill or weld on the pannier. Looks like drilling is much safer 👍 Regards, Pritam Kumar Dutta India 🇮🇳 8th July, 2020

A little of that padding up the back to stop the bolt heads chaffing a hole in your cans from the vibrations as you maybe aware that jerry cans sometimes suffered from in the holders that lost it's protection, keep up the good work, I'm all for saving the odd shilling or two.

Outstanding ideas and DIY projects 👍🏻! Can’t believe I just found your channel here about a week ago. I’ve been following Funky for a few years now. Anyway I hope you’re doing well. I see you haven’t put a video up in a few months. Looking forward to more awesome videos 👍🏻! 🇺🇸

Be interested in the petrol cooker you're going to use Mike. The only one I could find small enough, is the Coleman type. I use a multi fuel cooker, alcohol/wood and sometimes gas. You'll be doing a load out no doubt, before you set off, look forwards to it. Nice to see you back.

Hard panniers are a real pain. Poor for filtering, with the increased width, huge drag and dangerous if you fall and get your leg trapped. If you’re riding in the UK with a fairly frugal bike you don’t need extra fuel as you’re never that far from a Petrol station. Waterproof Soft luggage is the way to go. The front rack is going to cause a lot of drag and possibly add to instability. Key to motorcycle touring is gather your kit together. Half it, half it again and leave that stuff behind. You’re touring the UK not Patagonia. I appreciate this maybe impossible for a prepper. Believe me you’ll wish you did. Anyway just my 2d worth. Looking forward to following your trip. Be safe!

All sound points of view but I'm not in any rush I'll be travelling heavy but my aim is to make films that are of interest so loads of behind the scenes kit that I'll need to keep safe, of course your right about the fuel but youtube goes out to a global audience so someone somewhere will love that little idea 17 years in the mil, I know light is fast but heavy is comfortable thanks for tagging along Atb. I totally disagree with James Lawson, hard lockable panniers for me every time.

I think you should add a touch of loctite or use nylock nuts to stop the bolt coming loose as you ride.

Check the legality of additional external fuel carriers Roach, I don't think they are allowed in the UK....a jerry can with fuel on a Land Rover isn't, it would have to be carried internally...
