Looks great and I agree with the natural wood and rusted steel look. Maybe you can clear coat the steel when it gets to the look you’re looking for and it will preserve it a bit longer? I want to do this project but plant veggie plants. Thanks Brent!

The sides will bow in time. You needed to brace the sides under the dirt. Essentially, run a steel brace between each side, inside the box.

@BYOTools

Haha good point but based on my research this is still considered a raised bed since it isn’t the same level as the ground. This was much simpler then the pool deck that’s for sure haha!

Depending on the size of truck you are looking for, I highly recommend an old Ford diesel truck. The 7.3 liter V8 is one of the best ever made. Look for years between 1995-2003. They have the motor that will last a million miles

It’d be hard for me to deviate from Toyota just because of how well they hold their value, but I’m sure you already know that 🤷🏻♂️. Also I can’t believe I couldn’t guess this was gonna be a flower bed after you asked us to guess on Instagram - I feel like it should’ve been the obvious choice for a rectangular space along a fence, but it hadn’t even crossed my mind 😂

If you're looking to buy a truck and you're going to use it for BYOT (hopefully a business by now), look into Section 179 Tax Deduction. Let's say you made $250K in 2021 and you have to pay $87500 in taxes on that. Buy a truck over 6000lbs (full list of trucks that qualify are a google search away) and figure out a percentage of the time you'll use it for your business. You can write off 100% of the cost of the truck (let's just say it was $75K), your tax liability is now $12500 instead of $87500. I am not a financial planner or accountant, just a fellow small business owner. Good luck and great videos!
