Great shed! Love the fact you put armchairs in, looks so comfy! You are so lucky to be allowed a big shed. They only allow a 6x4 one on our plots. At least we are allowed one I suppose. We used to have a corrugated roof on an old shed at home, it was forever being broken by the wind. You did so well changing the roof. Thank you for a very informative video. 😊👍

Really enjoyed the video Tony thank you for sharing. I came unstuck myself with the clear plastic roof sheets which give good light.I ended up using ,used insulated roof sheets, basically as you know foam sandwiched between to sheets of metal. They are flat on the inside of the car port and channeled on the top with a tongue and groove on the side to join them together for a water tight join. Used an angle grinder and straight edge to cut the last one, went though it like butter, to give me the width I needed.Had no more of the dreaded drips in the winter thank god.

Tony, I am so glad I found this Chanel. Being a UK resident, watching the yanks takes some getting used to, their terminology is so different,at times. I watched your video on composting, found it very good, especially the chart with the N & C, breakdown of various materials. Also having had a few problems with stuff, I didn't know what the yanks would say, regarding my question. But, you will be better at answering my questions. Best regards Geoff Maddison

Hey Geoffrey. Once you get used to the language differences its not to bad, I suppose they find the same with my videos. I am glad the chart has helped you too mate.

I like the one video to see the main idea of the build first, then with available links to the details on the build, I am going to attempt to make one in the spring, I really like your roof choice, that would work great for the feel of space as well (not confining or claustrophobic feeling ) Im wanting it for just my qiet space sitting in my garden, even in bad weather.. Thank you for sharing..☺

Tony, I think if you do another shed, it may be a good idea to have a ditch around the structure filled halfway with pebbles to prevent the wet wicking up the wood. Or even sloping the peripheral slabs away from the shed. Otherwise a super duper shed.

Hi tony what a great video ..im just starting to build my own shed but only 8x8 ..did you use normal shed felt or something better ? Also what was the glue you used and why ? Many thanks mate for all your vids love watching them 😀
@simplifygardening
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil. I used the best roofing Felt I could buy, its thicker and therefor stronger. I use bitumen paint to glue it down, this is a waterproof paint so not only will it glue down the felt but if it were ever to rip it would protect the timber until i fixed it. By gluing it down you dont need to add nails everywhere to hit it down and the wind cant get under it

Will/Can that blown reclaimed window pane be fixed? I have plans for a reclaimed material shed and also a greenhouse.
@simplifygardening
5 жыл бұрын
I have two options for that. I can drill two small holes in the glass, it will lose its thermal properties, but they are gone now its blown anyway. This will get rid of the mist. Or can just have a new pane made up but that will cost about 40 pounds
