Follow along as I self-build my own unique camper van inside a 2015 Ford Transit 350 Extended Cargo Van -- with no experience. ...and when I say "no experience," I mean ZERO EXPERIENCE! I have never done anything like this before, so I am learning as I go. I will make some mistakes, but that's okay.
Before starting this project, I did a TON of research on KZitem, looking at the many ways to frame out my floor, but there were some things I wasn't clear on. I realized I needed to take the knowledge I have gained through research, and just get started, solving problems as I experienced them.
In this video, you will see me make a HUGE and almost project-ruining mistake. I didn't account for where the plywood seams would be, and I almost didn't create crossbeams where the slabs would meet.
Thank goodness I caught this in time to fix it, or I would have been really upset later. I would have finished gluing, insulating, and sealing everything before securing the plywood, and that would have led to my having to start over and buy all new materials!
I hope you enjoy this video and can remember what it was like to be new. Maybe this video will make you nostalgic for a time when you were in the midst of information overload and made an otherwise silly mistake :)
Tools I used:
Ryobi Circular Saw
Tape measure
Pencil
Thank you so much for watching!
