@@stactionsmedia3318 Well it was just a joke about the many movies with Django character :) But yes I agree with similarities how they used Maciste that's much older character. They also made similar combination character movies with Django as they made with Maciste. So there's movies with Maciste, Hercules and Ursus in the same movie. And there's movies with Django, Sartana, Trinity etc.

In the german dub (which is MUCH better than the english one) the dialogue is also completely different. Jackson’s monologue for instance includes him recounting Django’s invitation, that he may come by whenever he pleased, so he thought he should not disappoint such a man. Jackson: "And now, my friend, we settle this." BANG BANG Jackson: "Yes, now you’d need your canon with you!" BANG Jackson: "Now that it counts!" BANG Django: "Still works without it!" At least that’s how I would translate it. Some phrases don’t really have a punchy equivalent in English.

@@robinanwaldt As you of course know, back in the 1960s and 70s a lot of German dubs, especially Italian westerns and comedies, had very different dialog in places, to make it sound cooler, sometimes even changing the meaning completely (Once Upon...West is a perfect example). With that said: I still consider the German dubs excellent.

In italian the villain says that Django should pray because he's going to die and adds that it would be very difficult to pray because of his slaughtered hands and decides to "help" him. So the first shot is followed by :"in the name of the father" then he shoots again and says:"in the name of the son" he shoots for the third time and says:"in the name of the holy spirit". Then Django shoots and shouts"amen". I think that it is much better and has greater impact.

Django with his damaged hands couldn't even hold his gun and I really couldn't see a way out for him in this. I thought this is it, this is when the hero finally loses and I was so scared until he blasted them away with the help of the cross. Epic.
