So, DM dokuro's version made me think of the perspective of the person with the hateful construct in their mind. This version made me double turn toward the viewpoint of the construct themselves. They did not ask to be created, yet we still blame them for our pain. In a way, it makes the construct feel justified for their hatred. At the same time, it is not so simple since both person and construct are the same being! This song spins the original into something fresh while also honoring the sorce material, and for that, I say that's incredible. 👍

This post fills me with joy knowing folks like you can break down my intents for this remix. YES, this remix takes a flip on the perspective, and YES, The Vessel wasn't asked to be created, to be tasked with a grand purpose, and to abandon all the relationships she thought she had. In fact, all the things that caused The Vessel such pain was from The Scientist's (the not-robot) memories. So her pain feels highly unjustified. On top of everything, this song is also about the unraveling of the "self". The reason The Vessel held herself together for so long was because of the Grand Purpose. But in the end, there's no one left to save. No home to return to. No family to say "hi" or "I miss you". In order for The Vessel to keep walking, The Vessel rejects her humanity through rejecting The Scientist and her memories. The people wasn't hers to save. That home wasn't hers. That family isn't hers. So this pain isn't supposed to be hers.

Aw man, I know where this story goes, you only have to remember when you were down and looking inward on yourself as though you were an unwilling passenger pulling dead weight. Beyond just the fantastic music video, I feel you could make a really great story with this. The sci-fi concept of your life uploaded onto an android, and the android lacking any say for its inherited memories having its own idea, agency, and feelings regarding everything about you it now has to feel and remember, but it's also your copy. Just with a fresh perspective, and a different set of shoes.

As someone who had listened to "Still here" when it released on Dokuro's bandcamp back in spetember of 2021, this is an amazing remix. While the original will be my favorite, it was amazing being able to listen to someone elses remix of an amazing song.... hopefully one day I'll take a crack at it.

Wow. This genuinely brought me to tears. I know Solaria's a vocal synth but that belt in the last chorus that felt like a sudden outlier in the surrounding chaos gave me goosebumps and in that moment everything felt so....beautifully painful, but at the same time painfully beautiful. This is my first time hearing this track since the harsh sun version came out and even then I don't remember being as emotionally impacted by it as I was with this one, not that it's any sort of competition of course, this was only possible because Dokuro's such a great composer. But something about this remix just hit different, the art and story told through it was also phenomenal. Definitely an all time favorite, I said this on the Keep Walking cover but I genuinely do hope you gain a lot more recognition because this is phenomenal.

I don't even know what to say other than thank you... The pure, raw emotion of this song always throws me back to when I was severely depressed without ever knowing why. The original song helped me understand it, it helped me slowly but surely work through it all. I've never been able to analyze the lyrics of a song and take something from it, sadly. The way I connect to a song is through pure, raw emotion. Hearing the song like this, I'm at a complete loss of words... I want to thank DM Dokuro for making this song, as it helped me push through the depression I was facing in the past. I hope he can do the same, as his music means a lot to me. As for you, unit.0, thank you for making this remix. It's helped me connect to STILL HERE greater than ever before.

I didn't think I'd be listening to this song in a new perspective from last time. Looking from both a darkened mindset and one free of stress, this song takes on two different meanings. You managed to mix BOTH of those mindsets for me with this remix, and for that, you have nothing but my respect. Please keep doing what you do best.

This version feels like the vessel just wants the human side to move and get back to living. But the human side (or outer self) just keeps making excuses and doing nothing. And by the third act, the vessel loses it with the human side's excuses and just wants it to act and do something instead of making excuses

There's some alignment to this. The Scientist's life was full of sacrifice. She left behind everything, her son, and even her life in order to create The Vessel so that she can fulfil A Grand Purpose. But now The Vessel lives with that burden all while The Scientist (being dead) no longer has to. The Vessel wished for the scientist to live and move on, and let someone else save humanity. If that was the case, The Vessel wouldn't have needed to exist, and wouldn't have to suffer such devastating loss and isolation. So with such rage against The Scientist, The Vessel self-cannibalizes, ripping apart every aspect of The Scientist left in her. The regrets, the burdens, the pain, everything. The Vessel is willing to leave the memories of The Scientist behind, and so, she is willing to lose the last of her human tethers, and become a shell.

if you won't be there for yourself.. then who will? so please, be compassionately realistic with yourself if you can, and maybe give yourself some room to grow. It may hurt to do so at times, but it is worth doing. You'll remember your failures, and that's okay, but don't overlook your little victories either, for they're just as important. Every big thing is made of little things, and those little things do still matter. So, don't be afraid to dig through the pile a bit at a time.

This is on par with the original! For a lot of other music that wouldn't be a compliment of the highest order, but for this masterpiece... Seriously though, this is amazing and I genuinely cannot decide which I like more. I might even like this one more, but I always have a bias to the original in terms of remixes. Also, is this going to be on amazon music anytime soon? I won't have internet for a while soon, and I NEED to listen to Still Here and Keep Walking.
