Thank You. Very helpful to be able to see how the strap lock is fitted and how it works. I have now purchased a couple for my guitars.

In Holland we have red swing bottle rubbers that perfectly fit on the end pin, securing your strap

Well waddy yah know Ive just bought one of those a few months ago I love the neck on them, I had mine set up including a fret level job by Leo at Wild Horse Guitars at Redfern she plays like a Les Paul. Leo is amazing . Joe Walsh Uses him too when he's in Australia.

I've just put a LR Baggs pickup in my Acoustic and couldn't get a strap to work with that fat output jack. Will be investigating this. Appreciate your video mate!

I found something better. It's the Acoustic-Lok by MusicNomad. It says it is for Martin guitars with Fishman electronics, Taylor guitars up to 2002, and Switchcraft output jacks. I have a Godin Arena CW and it works perfectly on it. It attaches to the output jack and then you attach your strap to it.

A cheaper way is to make the strap hole bigger to fit over the whole end pin and hollow out a Dunlop strap lock which twists to lock .these are about $5 per pair . Then they fit all endpin jacks.

Nice product, but I think the locking piece is superfluous. The weight of the guitar body keeps the strap in place on the bottom endpin. It's always the upper bout one that comes loose. They could just sell the extension by itself and cut cost.

Thanks for sharing this. I have a Martin DX1AE that has a big endpin, would this strap keeper work? Maybe you can make a video showing us how it really works when playing the instrument.

+Jaime Herran Yeah if it has an end pin like this one it should work. They sell another version for a smaller end pin jack but I don't know what it fits exactly. Check their website tapastring.com.

LR BAGGS should design a jack with a wider hole to accommodate a proper guitar strap. They have no intention on doing such such a thing I was told.

What if your not using the hole at the end of the strap..say two from the bottom. And I don't want to cut the strap

I just ordered a couple of these for a newer Martin and older Yamaha Compass East series...they both have those huge end pin jacks. So how is yours working out so far. I was gratified to hear the audible "click" when you put the little piece into the end pin groove. Any problems?

Scott Kendall Hi Scott thanks for watching. So far no problems. I play the guitar a few times a week hanging from the strap and it has been fine.

it almost seems that you could just use the original strap with the plastic keeper part without their leather adapter?

ordered one of these for my Epiphone Masterbilt DRM500CE. it went on easily and holds on great, but it's so tight on the button that it forces it to turn when the strap moves, which has lead to the nut on the inside of the guitar coming undone! any tips would be very helful

just as I posted I heard what you said around 5.20, I thought you had to put the leather of the Strap keeper in the groove with the plastic clip! thanks a bunch!

Yeah, it's a bit fiddly but once you get it on right it's good to go.

Nice if someone would design an endpin jack with the neck a bit thicker to accommodate a rubber strap lock.

Just buy a 99 cent shoe string and rig it to the end pin jacks.
