Azelaic acid is good for redness and works for some people.

I've been a long time sufferer of rosacea and was always prescribed Metronidazole (an anti-biotic cream), whilst this initially worked, over time it became less and less effective, took months to see any improvement even when I first started using it and flare ups would occur within one to two months of finishing the treatment. As a result I did some research and discovered that the rosacea might be a cause of an over abundance of or over sensitivity to the Demodex mite (these critters live on every ones face!). To fix this it was suggested that using an anti-parasitic cream like IVERMECTIN might help, so, when I next had a flare up I asked my GP to prescribe said cream. WOW what a difference that made, after one week all the angry looking spots were much less angry and the redness had subsided significantly. After two to three weeks the spots had disappeared and redness had gone completely. The treatment lasts 4 months and time between flare ups has significantly improved. It's been over 9 months since my last flare up!
