So the main differences are this: If you know you do not want bio children/to carry a pregnancy, tubal ligation is a good option! If you're not sure and want more time to figure it out, an IUD could be a better option for you ^^

I am very happy with my hormonal IUD. Yes, the implantation sucks, but that's only one day and now I'm good to go for years. I never suffered any side effects from the hormons, not even when I used to take the pill, but this way I don't have to take something every single day. It's great!

Something else to consider is that an IUD is either introducing hormones to your body or a reactive metal. So if your body is sensitive to added hormones and you have metal sensitivities, an IUD *may* not be for you. Alternatively, if you *want* to use hormonal birth control to help regulate your menstrual cycle, you may want to choose a hormonal IUD

My mom had touble with IUD. I had issues with several reversable methods before we completed our family. Because of complications I couldn't get tubal after last birth. Vasectomies also have some later auto immune issues, so i wished we had researched more.

I never understood tubal ligation. If you’re doing surgery anyway, why not remove the uterus? What’s the point of still getting periods if you can’t even get pregnant?
@BunsenHoneydew001
6 ай бұрын
Removing the uterus is done during a hysterectomy. You'll lose all the good female hormones that keep you looking young and feeling sexy. Basically, you go into menopause.
@noreng4933
6 ай бұрын
Removing an organ is a much bigger procedure. You have to take care of all the blood vessels etc., so it takes longer and has higher risks of bleeding, infections etc. With an ligation, not much changes for the body so it's much easier to manage. And it works, so there's not really a reason to remove the uterus anyways.

@alirodmd It would be great if you could do a video to help young women understand why doctors are very hesitant to do tubals on women who haven't had children, or who might have children but are still young. Many young women don't understand, because of their age, that once you ring the bell of sterility, you can't unring it, and just because you don't want kids at 20 doesn't mean you won't want them at 30. It's crazy how quick people are these days to irrevocably alter their bodies without fully understanding what they're doing.

Because it's immoral if you think about it, the woman is essentially killing off her body's natural ability to bear offspring and be fruitful and multiply, by that logic it's actually worse than abortion because every time she has six sperms are just going to die! Studies have shown that over 95% of women regret tubal ligation, The risks are too high and the success rate is too low should somebody want to get a reversal.. What if a woman only had like two kids (or even worse 1 or none) and got her tubes tied and no longer is with the same man? The next man especially if he has no kids likely is going to want some, plus it causes infertility 🚫💦
