Great video! And school is what you make of it and although it matters a bit where you go to undergrad, it is not the most important factor.

@@Shemmassian it would also be great to make a video on financing medical school, and highlight the train that some medical schools are offering full tuition (NYU, Columbia) and how financing overall can affect your undergrad and med school perspective. Also financial resources available overall.

thank you Dr, what do you think for premed in WNE university ? if we have scholarship, is it a good idea to attend this uni ?

In the video you mentioned that tier 3 factors are usually used for tie-breaker decisions between similar candidates. Since top med schools have countless applicants to choose from, would you say these tie-breaking decisions are made quite often? Thus making prestigious undergrad schools more important?

I’m going to UC San Diego for undergrad. I picked it because there are so many resources there for premed. I got into USC which has the name but I think that UCSD would be better. Will it hurt me that I’m going to a state school or are the UC schools on a higher tier than most other state schools.
I am currently studying Biochem in DePaul University and they have affiliation with RFU yet I don't know if switch to Health sciences and make their plan 3+4 and go to RFU yet my question is if RFU is good to compete for a match in Interventional radiology. I've 4.0 GPA in Biochem at the moment. Should I just complete my Biochem major and apply to an Ivy league? I was planing to get a master in Medical Science or Physiology! What y'all think?

Nice vid. I’m a high school student that is going to be attending a accelerated combined medical program. Although I’m accepted into medical school, I still want to have a chance at a better medical school which is closer to my state. Only bad thing is that the undergraduate for the combined program is low tier, and I was worried that it wud take away my chances at applying out of the program.
