Chris - many thanks for sharing this awesome and wonderful music...Sam is featured on a few of my favorite Dexter Gordon albums Silver Blue and True Blue with Blue Mitchell and Al Cohn. Great to hear him hear with Don Menza!!!

Chris, your father was one of the "unsung helds" of the jazz era. Very good as soloist then as a lead player. I like his playing very much. I bought his Xanadu albums for many years in the late LP-Era.

Awesome. Thanks for posting this. I loved the music and also the monologue at the end. I've been a musician all my life and most of my friends are musicians and that monologue says it all.

@@ChrisNotoProgman Heard Mr Sam Noto circa May 1978 here in Halifax at Cabbagetown Spring Garden Road, downstairs of Pepe's Restaurant - prior weeks there were Ed Bickert, Bernie Senensky and the pair of Red Holloway & Sonny Stitt - the intensity of Mr Noto, his mastery of his instrument, stands out in the whole run of that club
