I feel like people are not understanding who this car is for to begin with. This isn't for people who are cross shopping 4 cylinder and 8 cylinder vehicles nor is it for people who are cross shopping 40k Mustangs well equipped with 40k+ BMW's. It's for people who want a cool looking car that can overtake a flow driver or accelerate easily whenever they want, but doesn't want to spend 5 trillion dollars a week at the gas station. A mustang is a mustang is a mustang. It goes fast and looks cool doing it.

I really don't understand these youtubers thinking it is all about the sound and max Horsepower difference between the 4 cylinder HPP and 8 cylinder GT. Ha, see my comment above. I've had mine since 2015, but can't get rid of it. It's paid for and ridiculously fun and a new car note in this economy seems crazy. It's been bulletproof, that Coyote smoothness and sound and I can beat on it knowing parts are cheap vs a garage queen. I have a toddler and he just turned 3 so can get in the car seat himself now.. Before it was a PITA. Man, I've tried to give Sedans a try as the 4 door is more family friendly. G70 v6 w dynamic pack was a total disappointment. Alfa Romeo Guilia Quad was super Agile and had suspension magic going on but clinical. I still have my 2015 GT PP1. You are absolutely right about the disconnected feeling stock. 90% is bushings. I modified the suspension with Steeda/BMR/Gt350r parts plus much lighter wheels and it's really good, but that cost 10k additional for what should be from factory. Now u feel the back end and front, the steering is hyper responsive, the nose feels much lighter and weirdly ride is better, BUT, road feel does not come through steering, which is an issue w all cars with electric steering outside of Porsche. Ultimately, it's a GT car (lots of luggage space, fun and fast on freeway) that can be taken for occasional track day, autocross or mountains.

You keep referring to the magnetoride addition as "crap". It makes this car. It is a full 200 lbs lighter than the GT and all of it off the front axel. This car would probably beat a GT on an autocross course. It is an excellent road car and probably the mustang I would buy.
@MeynMotorGroup
3 жыл бұрын
Magneride? I said it was amazing...and 200 lbs? When you have a passenger in whatever car you drive do you notice the difference? Then why would you sacrifice one of the only great things that ford has ever produced, that Coyote 5.0 V8, for this 4 cylinder that makes you wish you never had ears?
@r_bnubs3357

It's the location of the weight that makes the difference. The HPP is lighter directly over the front axle bc the lighter engine which gives it much better turn in response. When you have a passenger they are much closer to the center of mass so it will have minimal effect on the handling. And objectively speaking, I actually really like the sound of the HPP. Just don't expect it to sound like a V8 and you're good. I own one of these cars that I use for a daily.

people comparing 310/350 to 330/350 are missing the point. Reggie Ecoboost falls flat af after 4500 rpm, so, 2500-4500 is good but after that sucks. In the RS engine it is pulling HARD from 2500-6500, a huge difference in the fun-to-drive factor. And it HANDLES so much better than a GT. So, it's a fabulous car for country driving on winding roads.

I bought a 2021 Mustang EcoBoost HPP 6 speed manual with the performance package and handling package. I drove both the Camaro and the Mustang before making the choice, and to be honest, I'm not a Ford guy. If anything I would favor Chevy. But after driving both, the Mustang handled better, felt better, had far better visibility, better options and overall just felt like a better deal than the Camaro. I wanted a track toy, and the HPP is the only one that came with a larger radiator, larger oil cool, larger intercooler, transmission cooler and rear diff cooler. Basically the Camaro might be able to go around the track as fast... 3 times. Then it fades. The Mustang HPP can do it all day long.

If nothing was wrong with the 6 speed then yes I would go with it. But I have done my research and not talking bad about mustangs just the 6 speed. Its ford cutting cost and I understand that but when you only put 6k on youre brand new car and have to put it in the shop to get a Transmission fixed because they cut cost then you would have wished you went with the 10 speed. And not talking trash guys the car and really nice but untill ford fixes the problem I would stay away from the 6 speed.

It’s about styling and pricing. The GT with the performance options costs about $50k+. This car costs about $$10k less. It’s cheaper on gas and looks cool. However I think for an added $10k a GT is better! The GT looks cooler and sounds way better plus it’s way more powerful and you can feel the thrust with excellent handling too. I it’s just cooler to have the GT if you have the extra $10k and getting more gas more frequently is not a big deal. You’re probably better off getting the base Ecoboost too! Comfort and fuel economy Are the really only points for Ecoboost aside from its look!
@rembo183
2 жыл бұрын
You’ll really save more with a base Ecoboost not this one. The added options on this model don’t make it that much better to justify added cost. This car does look great and the power this engine produces is not bad at all especially seeing how it is lighter than the V8 Mustang. Where the V8 is more of a muscle car, this is more of a sports car. As mentioned in the video there are some people who want the improved fuel economy this has over the V8. The only issue I have with this Ecoboost HP is the reliability. This 4 cylinder is doing a lot and the Mustang chassis is no Ford Focus. If Ford actually made improvements to the engine and made it more reliable since the days of the Focus RS I would actually consider this car. Sadly, reliability is not easy to gauge on a new chassis and engine combo like this. Great review!

Second, this is a great handling car, that is its forte. I had Dodge Challengers and Chargers in the past, and this car is in a different galaxy compare with those, it makes Dodge muscle cars feel like pick up trucks in terms of handling.The mangaride dumpers are superb. I had two people that built and drive sport cars in tracks, and after they drove my car they said they wanted to buy one for themselves. Other thing you get wrong is the gas mileage. @@MeynMotorGroup don't understand the relationship between and automatic transmission, and a electric car. But the point is, your review doesn't make justice to the strongest asset of this car, which is its handling capability. I watch other reviews of this car. All of them agree, the handling is amazing

15:22 IMHO cause it’s an American made sports car. Not to generalize but most American built vehicles have really horrible quality - regardless of the brand (American and non-American that is manufactured here in the US), if it’s a premium, luxury or not and the like) unlike their peers in the same price range that were built with quality in mind not just to sell a ton, you know what I mean. Still totally agree with most of your points, like your honesty man, keep it up! 👍

Go and drive a Camaro SS and then drive a GT and you'll quickly notice how superior the Camaro handles. The same goes for the 2.0 Camaro RS compared to the Ecoboost.

Camaro stock and out of the box is def a far superior car in my opinion but the Ford nuts will go insane for saying that. The Ford is a great car especially the GT 5.0l V8 but needs mods unfortunately like bushings, suspension, tires etc to bring it up to Camaro levels.

Exhaust Sports Auto they did a race with the 2.0 camaro and the ecoboost and the ecoboost won 😂💀

I mean if that's the only metric of what makes a car good then a base model Tesla would annihilate both cars and not just by .1 of a second. This drag racing spec sheet culture needs to end asap
