🏆 I agree 100%, as a bodybuilder, martial artist and US Army veteran. Know your limits. Dont get injured over something ridiculous like ego issues. Ive seen far too many people seriously hurt themselves with the no pain no gain self-destructive mindset. Im talking lifelong injuries ♥️

@@bear5945 I work out the way Dorian does (obviously not as intense cuz thats not possible, but I try to) and ive gained about 13lbs of muscle in 4 months so yeah I'd say it works for naturals aswell.

@DTM I believe I’ve explained this to you before, the concept you fail to grasp is that there is an inverse relationship between volume and intensity of efforts. It is precisely this highly stressful, irritating stimulus that is the driver of physiological adaptation. Single sets have been demonstrated to be effective in increasing muscular strength and size in scientific studies. And it seems to make no difference whether the subjects are beginners or advanced trainees.

First of all he is extremely old, secondly when they say it’s “genetics” they mean that their genetic material allows them to gain and grow more muscle tissue than an average person, basically their genetic limitations are higher than average people. That’s really all it means and the steroids helps them to get to that place.

This routine is NOT for normal people or even other athletes. He's talking about CRUSHING a body part and then allowing for a relatively long recovery period. Most people will want to train more frequently but with less intensity.

Just because the majority of people do something in a certain way, doesn’t by definition make them correct. generally the most taxing muscles should be done first. Compound movements first, isolation second... however every now and then switch things up!

@Evan Bonner let's talk about it a bit more plainly here I took steroids for two years solid back in 2000 and 2001 I meat Dorian in 2004 I think personally and I was dreaming for the Mr. O stars at that time I will grow like a mushroom even if I just scratch my ass. Now be natural is a whole different ball game to be honest. You can't take any advice of a steroid junkie for growth as you can't take advice of a junkie on crack about happiness. Don't justify steroids they are only for sick people. If you are not sick and take them you will make your self sick trusts me on that.

He trained harder than most bodybuilders but he actually didn't train extremely hard, it's a bit of a myth. For example he didn't train to eccentric failure which is significantly more taxing on the body.

@@dtm4071 You don’t know what you’re talking about. The muscles cannot be isolated out from the CNS. And HIT will not overtax the CNS. That’s a common argument against HIT and its bullshit.

Der hat zu viele Verletzungen um anständig zu trainieren. Ich glaub kaum das dieser 72 Jährige es jemals so übertrieben hat wie Dorian Yates als er noch aktiv war. Dorian Yates hat in irgend einem Interview gesagt das er nicht mal mehr 40kg (oder so in die richtung) drücken kann wegen Verletzungen. Der fährt jetzt die ganze Zeit Fahrrad und macht Yoga und so...Raucht Gras.. lol
