Encore!!!!! Again. This Protein issue really hit home with me. Still to this day I am hit with “oh but you need more protein”. I feel so good right now and don’t eat as much protein as I used too. Thank you for helping me understand this. Food its always the food. I know the why we have been fed this BS.

encore for sure! I wish I knew this when I was having children. They really push the protein when you are pregnant. You are absolutely starving when breastfeeding and the starch solution would have been awesome for satisfying that hunger in a healthful way.

If we aren't weighing and measuring and just truly eliminating oil and proceesed food and allowing healthy starch then I was lost in the first few minutes with all these percentages of proteins, oats, starches....are we to just KiSS? 😊

Oh I absolutely love John. He speaks the truth and he backs it with medical knowledge. I love the starch solution book as well although I’m not vegan I am an ex-vegan. I am vegetarian and I went to my doctors in June and found out my bloodwork said that my protein levels were almost nonexistent. I’m not worried though not a problem here at all lol I do not eat things such as tofu, and when it comes to fake meats, the only one that I really actually enjoy and eat is the vegan chicken patties. Other than that I love my potatoes. I love my rice I love my beans, and I will give them up for nothing! The fact that I have almost Nonexistent protein levels in my body due to the blood work doesn’t phase me at all

@@luluandmeow I completely agree with you I do not eat meat I just eat cheese, sour cream, and I use milk-based coffee creamer. Other than that I don’t eat any other animal byproduct. When it comes to actual meat, I don’t need it. Unfortunately, I have children who do because they grew up with a father that ate meat so they do eat meat but for myself no I don’t touch it.

I've always appreciated Dr. McDougall's work, but I am really struggling with how he's gotten so frail looking and weak of voice these past five years...he's only 76. I've never really cared about protein but there is a lot of evidence lately that increasing it in those over 60 is protective.
