This beef definitely got real messy. I love this moment for you Rob because it gives thoughtful Hip Hop journalism a chance to shine in a live streaming/reactionary era. Going over some of Drake's lyrics does remind me of some of the clever wordplay in this song but its going to be hard for your videos to capture how insane it was that Kendrick came and stepped on Drake's moment with another chess move by releasing a family themed track within 30 mins of Drake releasing Family Matters.

It’s definitely not just rap no more.. and maybe it never was.. maybe the fans wanted it to be that.. we wanted the sport right.. but honestly, it’s getting real personal.. Kendrick alluded to it in euphoria too.. “This not about critics, not about gimmicks, not about who the greatest/ it’s always been about love and hate, now let me say I’m the biggest hater” Fans wanted this battle because they didn’t think it’d result in violence.. but when things get this personal, deep, and damn near sinister.. that’s when shit pops off.. We might regret instigating this cause again.. it’s not what we thought.. I was excited to see Kendrick drop 6:16.. then see Drake drop Family Matters same day.. and then seeing how Dot came right back with it, on meet the grahams.. but after hearing the most recent two tracks? It’s getting dark.. real dark. I just hope it stays rap. But we’re pushing the line here..

Knowing now that they talked, now I feel like 616 was Kendrick’s attempt to reroute the convo, giving Drake an option to keep it civil. But he obviously had Meet The Grahams already done if not. Drake has Twitter bots. Everything Drake said in this diss, his fan pages posted all over Twitter weeks before it came out. And were all later debunked. We know Keem isn’t writing for Kendrick, the situation with his wife was from one non rap site that was unreliable, and his dad getting robbed by top didn’t happen like people on Twitter were saying it was. Even 9th wonder who produced the track was like “this isn’t true. Listen to Duckworth”. Yet Drake said it in a song and was wrong about it. Knowing he spread false information, family matters, while a good track means almost nothing to me now. Kendrick up with Meet The Graham’s. And I really pray it stops there.

But I just remember this sense of dread while watching it. And then not even an hour passes by and the Kendrick Lamar song comes out. The tonal shift between Euphoria, which was kind of fun and light hearted, almost to what we got last night? It escalated to a massive scale. I don’t know how other people in the comment section are continuing to egg this on, but there is no winner here. Rob first off good job keeping up with the beef its crazy right now and that has to make your job harder. Also even better job at making sure you use your breakdown translation with a responsible perspective. Too often ppl use a headline and run away with it hurting the public image of artists, entertainers, etc. keep up the hard work!

I agree with everything you said. Very insightful, Thank you for the breakdown. I just want to say this shit has gotten too dark now! The song is fire but this has gotten way too personal! Where do they go from here now. Maybe I'm just an old man now as I was in my twenties when BIG and PAC died over some beef. This feels like this could go in that direction if they don't turn this around. The part dissing Metro, ASAP Rocky, Ross, Weekend was absolute fire and hilarious but the Kendrick shit has got to stop before it gets even uglier. Where do they go from here?

How about how Kendrick ratioed Drake on KZitem with a simple beat, no hook, no chorus, and no singing. Drake producers really gave their swan song and Kendrick has more views in less time. Strip this down to bare essentials and Kendrick is the better RAPPER. That ship sailed a long time ago.

Last night confirmed that Drake is tapped. The name of the tracks, the image was taken at Drake’s house. The line “…no culture or cache to benchbench…” was just mentioned on Family Matters. Drake’s own people hate him. Look through the album cover in detail. PS- Baby Keem has writing credits on “Like That” (6 writers listed for the song) PPS - This song makes this line on 6:16 in LA even harder: “The Elohim, KTW Know you can't sleep, these images trouble you Know the wires in your circle should puzzle you” 🫨🫨🫨 Drake’s last track was hard but he should’ve focused only on Kdot. Drake could’ve mention that he was going to address the others later or something. There’s only one dude on Drake’s head currently and only one person we the people want you to address. K Dot is way 🆙 🆙 🆙 ⬆️ ⬆️

@lacheinc

@@tntcrewEJ how do you know that??? Youre just saying that because its a convenient copout. the "shorty collection" tshirt dosent necessarily mean its fake info. Why woud drake have someone feeding him fake info? thats silly. wouldnt he just body him and get it over with? Also, Kendrick said it was more than one person. It could be true but none of what you said holds up enough for me

@@tntcrewEJ proves the point that he’s a master manipulator. The boys response was still weak as hell. Drake didn’t get offensive. The line Drake said about feeding him info for a week just sounds iffy. I’ll currently give the Boy kudos for that one. However, the record sounded like damage control more than taking control. You can’t double down and say I’m quitting at the same time.

Shit Kendrick said in euphoria is making sense now. “We can be on a three hour time difference” Toronto and California on a three hour time difference and they dropped at the same time. “Fabricating stories on the family front cause you heard Mr. Morale/ pathetic master manipulator/ I can smell the tales on you now” Drake said Kendrick beats his wife. “I be at New Ho King eating fried rice with the dip sauce and a blammy crodie” Drake is eating at New Ho King in the Family Matters video.

Appreciate this. Made me appreciate the wordplay, but agree on the direction. It’s clear that Dot was ready and prepared the moment he released euphoria, and it feels like Drake didn’t think it through and just went straight for the gusto. Drake has been rapping to fans not to Dot. Kenny has been going directly at Aubrey, and we’re just in on the conversation.

Drake should have only focused on Kendrick with this drop. This is partly why he takes additional L's because K. Dot is assassinating him with no breaks. He didn't need to readress Abel, Ross, Metro or Future. To that end if he feels like he did then you should have just thrown in Kanye----but he didn't do that. Kendrick was absolutely correct when he said he could predict his angles. Meet The Grahams annihilated what this song could have meant for Drake. K. Dot stays in the lead.

@theebonymaw that was impressive with Push Ups. Now, you're in an active battle with another GOAT from the Big 3. It appears he doesn't have enough bars to fill a song for 3-5 minutes for K. Dot alone. The focus should be on Kendrick as he continues his lyrical assassination on you for songs that amass 6 minutes. The art of War would call for him to zero in on his priority opponent. The culture could careless about the distractions of the other rappers. We all want K. Dot vs. Drake.
