This is supposed to be a group of very talented individuals, they themselves selected each of these girls. So talent is already a given. What is left for the fans to hang onto and find connection is their origins, and considering most countries only have one candidate to support, what were they expecting? Of course every Brazilian is going to support Samara or every Filipino is going to vote for Sophia. It is mind boggling to me that they are somewhat annoyed that the fans are voting based on that. It also seems like they are ignoring the fact that we also have to vote for more contestants.

My biggest problem with that one judge being disappointed that fans are voting based on nationality is that Bang PD himself said that he wanted this show to be like the Olympics where people root for the members from their countries. So which is it? Mind you, I agree that people should vote based on talent, but it’s like that judge doesn’t even know the concept that Bang PD wanted. And without more content, the only thing to vote on is ethnicity. Also, the judges are so negative and detached. There were obviously weaknesses with different people, but the judges talk about the girls so coldly. I worry about how the girls are doing mentally :(

If the girls can't do different concepts in this competition, they won't do it either when they are in the real deal. Yea I know what you mean but then again, they shouldn't have made it a public voting / choosing survival show.... They could have debuted them with a little bit of promo before that and then show the documentary of how they chose out of a large group of girls... Like XG did. Their 8 part documentary came out months later and the whole choosing process was all the manager/producer and the coaches. I feel like the audience here is fooled into making decisions by voting and are fooled in putting their hopes into the girls. They have already chosen the group and maybe plus three girls to change around a bit, but the audience is not important to them.
@LFNZE

@@NeonReactionsPierre They include the audience votes and opinions so that the girls get popularity before the debut, it doesn't matter if the girls were already chosen, the same happened with BABYMONSTER, the audience was included and they were heard at the end of the day and YG accepted all 7 members of Babymonster without eliminations. They made the survival show for what? what was the point if they already were debuting all 7 members? they did it to show the girls talents and some parts of their personality so that people get to know them, better that than nothing. This whole survival show is divided in two parts, the live voting weeks clips and the netflix tv show which will show a lot more of the inside/ behind the scenes daily lives of the members in more detail.

I feel like all of them have the personality and skills to be in the group. I personally don't care if people mass vote just because of their nationality. At the end of the day you also want a group that's globally popular/marketable and it gives the group huge advantage when they debut. Even if some girls are better than others, HYBE only became what is now because of BTS and BTS weren't the most talented when they became the best, its because of who they are and their growth. Also side note that it doesn't make sense for them to pick and choose who they are going to show critiques for, that's why I take the commentary with a grain of salt and the audience should still decide based on what they believe.

But for me UA is definitely the most main dancer icon among the candidates. She is not a swagger type but her moves are really powerful, exact and sharp. If dream academy will eliminate her, I can no longer see a main dancer icon there, others maybe a lead dancer icon. I think Iliya would likely to be eliminated the way I hear their comments. But she is a powerful visual so I don't know if they would remove her really. As for Nayoung I dont think that nayoung will be removed even though she is not that good in stage presence when dancing. Also if you are looking for stability in a vocal dance routine, I would never of went with a kpop song. Because majority of kpop artists lip sync or use background tracks. Ive also noticed they have no one on they’re judge panel from the west that has successfully coach trained or produce a global girl group. If you ever watched making the band you could definitely see the difference in how they challenged the girls more in dance and vocals. Kpop audience prefer cute, light high vocals and young and the west prefer more a deeper tones and vocal agility also a mature girl group. so I’m curious of how it will work as well.

Some ppl didn't get enough vote and they didn't even get the recognition they deserve.

And it is still their opinion who did better.... they can put out the best singer but if nobody can relate or likes their personality then its not worth much... If you put out a group fueled by the excitement of viewers then the viewers should have more to say. If you don't care about that then just debut what you think is the best and surprise the viewers. But then the viewers don't have any animosities against the whole thing because they didn't see who didn't make it through the internal voting process. Its fine to show that after the debut. The way XG did it. Or make it clear from the beginning that the viewers votes are not really important.

The usual jurs are giving commentary based on their whole journey in the project that goes way longer and beyond what we get to see, and the invited guests have a more similar perspective that we are having, but with a more responsible and technical view. And as you said I don't think this voting system is smart, we get to see so little of the girls personalities and personal strengths and weakness, like in mission one, two girls were out without us really seeing their vocals skills, our both dancing and singing combined, and I kinda can't help but feel a little iffy about it. I think the missions should be the showcase of all of their abilities, both individual and in a group, and we aren't really getting that. Making a decision based on one group performance is kinda harsh, and only helps on the audience not voting objectively. Also you're gonna tell me they didn't expect people were gonna be rooting for their country representatives when they presented the girls holding their flags and everything, they should have thought of a better way to deal with this previously.

Judging is very subjective! No judge in any competition program, such as this one, is consistent. But I think these people had chances to look at them during practices and so on. They are basically laying out their cases to dismiss people such as: Manon and Celeste. Quite frankly, I would NOT select those two either, especially Manon. Her attitudes suck! Did you hear what Ezrela said about her? That says it all! I also think Lara (not this time) may get cut. I find her to be an excellent singer but her expression (or lack thereof) on her face tells me that she is NOT a Kpop material. She was laboring. I agree with them regarding Mei. She needs to get out of her comfort zone. She did not stand out at all. Not like she did in OMG. If you look at Daniela and Megan I think you will probably agree with what they are saying. (Btw, I think Daniela and Megan have already made the team. I just do not see them getting cut!) But here is the deal: Mei will get another chance. She has the charm that Kpop artists must have! I do not agree their assessments on Ua. To me, they should be picking Kpop artist, not a dancer. Ua is cute and a good dancer! Unlike many people, who criticized her funny English accent, I found her raw and very attractive. She is a Japanese. Why should she be judged for poor English speaking skill? At any rate, I think Ua lacks artistic emotion. But I could be way off! Emily is shoe-in. So is Yoonchae! I think Brooklyn will make it but she needs to improve her vocal. Brook has everything Kpop seeks in an artist: beauty, talent, charm. beauty, talent, charm, beauty, talent, charm! I think you know what I mean. It's not only about skills, man! We will see! Good job, Pierre!
