CRit -or clean air certificate needed for certain places in France. A spare bulb kit is recomended as driving with a bulb out is a fine. Speed camera detectors are banned so switch that off on your stanav. Reflective vests must be to hand b4 getting out of your vehicle.

Breathalyser not required in France anymore, plus on many modern cars go in to the menu for lights and select "Drive on the right", thats it sorted
@MDrives

The ones with new adaptive LEDs will probably have the option. Many basic LED light don’t have it. The advice about breathalyser is very confusing. Probably best to have them for £3.

Bmw led headlights just need switched off automatic according to manual. They have dot approved beam cutoffs.

I also always wash my car before driving abroad, it just feels respectful and right! ##Make sure to keep the High Vis vests IN THE FRONT driver/ passenger of the vehicle NOT in the boot!

Very surprised you couldn’t change those headlights through car settings ~ I could even do that on my (2017) Mk3 ST3 Ford Focus with Bi-Xenon headlights for driving on Right ! Don’t need them on my current (2023) Mini Countryman with LED Adaptive (Matrix) headlights ~ although instruction manual says: do not use Adaptive (auto) mode.. Just trying to work out now where to place the Crit-air & German Environment Zone badge’s on windscreen, as on LHD cars it should be displayed on in he right side ~ but I’m tempted to just put where old tax disc used to be ~ as not too obscure my vision on my drivers side !

It’s different with LED. I can only switch off the adaptive function which you should but for Xenon’s you need the stickers.

Dziekuje bardzo. Very good tips. However, I am still not sure where to stick my headlamp deflectors. Instructions state ‘7 o’clock, but that seems illogical to me. I have a 2009 Honda Civic. Any ideas, anyone?
@spartaninpatryk

Hello. 7 o’clock seems perfectly logical. In the uk there is more light needed at “7 o’clock” to have the road side more visible. Whereas in other countries there will be cars at that “7 o’clock” so you would be blinding them.
