@@pfarraldcash6095 Interesting hypothesis. But I have a simpler explanation: 1- General air traffic problems. 2- Most idiots (Humans) can barely handle a car. 2.1- Now imagine those same idiots flying around in essentially small aircraft. 3- Most people don't have to travel far enough to justify owning one. A car would be better suited for them. 3.1- For this reason there is no "slowing down" or "maximum profit" to be made because there is simply no *actual* practical demand for it. So only private funded research tends to be done. It's a novelty item. For the same reason why luxury brands like Lamborghini, Bugatti and Ferrari are one. The many conspiracy theories that exist tend to _only work in America._ So even if one is true, others would have done it already. Most notably, Japan. They already built a fully functional and capable giant mech warrior ffs, meanwhile the American version is a rusty pile of junk metal even a Maus Tank would outrun it...

I have not seen a car as tough as a Lada in this country since the 63 Chevy corvair. You could break a rear axle easier than putting a dent in it, sliding sideways into a rock wall. A friend had one. I broke a rear axle siding into a curb on wet leaves, the speed was maybe 25 mph. Cost 10 dollars for a new axle back then. He came around a curve, the rear quarter panel hit a rock wall on the passenger side. Not a dent, just paint scrapes. This was back in the late 1960's. Just some memories. This was a really fun video to watch. Big thumbs up.

This vid is a testament for the insane durability of Soviet era cars. That's a lot of concrete. But UAZ didn't brake any drive shafts, nor axles, not even tyres, and still went around bushes, Lada didn't pancake, and GAZ/IZH barely noticed that something hit it. on top of what UberLummox said, roofs of cars are made to support their own weight + more. So that in the case of a bad rollover the roof doesn't collapse on you. So you have rebar, you had a roof able to already support 3500+ pounds and you have the concrete walls on the side adding support. Bananas are healthy, eat em.
@banaana1234

@@sacr3 I want to try what you are smoking. The roof of an UAZ can definitely not support the weight of the car.
@sacr3
5 жыл бұрын
@@banaana1234 All cars have too, its a basic requirement. Again, if a car rolls over, or a truck, or a UAV - it has to support its own weight or as soon as that thing rolls, the roof collapses and everyone is crushed. Would make -0- sense, specially for a vehicle that is prone to rolling. So if the UAV weighs 3000 pounds, that would mean the roof can support more than that (we're talking the pillars, not the sheet metal, that'll buckle under a load directly over the center of the roof) Its about distribution, if you place a giant 3000 pound ball it'll crush through, but you place a flat structure like a slab of concrete that has its weight distributed among all pillars, yes, you can place 3000+ pounds up there. But you'll fuck up the sheet metal/paint, because that'll flatten out.
