Can't remember if you guys put any frame stiffeners on this but I wouldn't be surprised to see those t-tops shatter lol. I had an 80 olds cutlass running 415hp and about 400ft lbs torque and it would shatter the rear window when I took off. Had to let the window sit loose with out trim so it would survive. Squeaked alot lol

Mine was an 83 tan with a brown interior. 231/turbo 350. My second car was an 87 Supreme Brougham 350/turbo400. Biggest mistake of my life was getting rid of those cars.

First car was an 82 Cutlass with a 1/2 vinyl top and rally package. Went in to buy a Camaro, and came out with a Cutlass. all my friends would borrow it when they took their girls out though.

@@bepbep7418 Very nice . Mine had the anemic V6 but I was a penniless 17 year old kid so I was just happy when it didn't flood on a cold start and got me to where I needed to go. Luckily, life has treated me failry well and I've had my share of cars with nut but the nostalgia of your first car will always remain strong.

They are common around KY , Tenn. , WV and Va. cause of the mountains. Only 1/4 mile track around me that somewhat near is Bristol.

That Hurst Olds is one of the best builds yet from this crew. I wish I knew more about 1/8 mile times and how good or bad they were.

I did the pest control in that building when it was still the Bunny Bread factory. My favorite thing about the building was a couple of rooms in the basement had floors made out of 4x4 posts that were cut into about 6" lengths and stood on end to make the floor.

I know with everything invested into this car including the price of the car exceeds 32,000 and 7.80s in the eighth is pretty good for a naturally aspirated street car my 2011 Camaro SS with a new GM performance LS3 495 horsepower crate engine with CNC ported and milled LS3 heads a built 6L80e transmission with a Circle D 4200rpm lock up stall converter with other mods with stock 3.27 gears has gone 7.22 at 96mph running on E85 l have 31-32 thousand invested into it including the price of the car used car weights 3920 with me in it full interior and AC all motor naturally aspirated this time was achieved with just 6 passes

Completely killed that launch. Driver must of jad a bad case of itchy cooch and funky vaginitas which was affecting the response and vision. That aroma must of been floating up ruining the vision and reaction time. Looked like a stock AOD launching w/ 150 k miles.

Yes. Idk why it happens, but it's not uncommon. Happened to me before. Stock buick 455 with 2.29 rear end and road tires went 9.1 at 78 mph, but with 3.50 gear and slicks, went 8.6 and slowed down a mph to 77. Guess it could be friction with the track or something.

Man, am I glad that ol' Mr. Boshers here is still at it. I've been watching PowerNation since I was just a boy, back when PowerNation was called PowerBlock. This build is easily my favorite build that PowerNation has ever done. I adore G bodies, I always have. Particularly the Hurst/Olds and the turbo Regals. This Olds is spot on. I wouldn't change a thing.

Why so dang SLOW? That's just terrible, my 5.0 LX with heads and cam 20 years ago ran that ET and MPH. Car guys want results, it gets so old seeing 99% of car shows spend allllll this money to go that slow.

@@markchapman2585 that 8.9 1/8th on street tires was probably a 2.5 - 3 sec 60ft . He stuck slicks on it and probably got it down to a 1.7 sec. with some more tuning, adjustments and practice, that Olds is a low 11 sec 1/4

Do us a solid please: it's a "strip", not a track. You took the Olds to drag a strip, not a track. It's a run, not a "lap". A lap or track have one line that is both the start and the finish line. Please stop discussing drag-racing with words, descriptions and phrases that are incorrect and meant for road-course racing. It's moronic, and completely misleading.
