I tried the it Cosmetics cream and I really like it! I could do without the scent but it’s doesn’t really bother me all that much. It’s such a nice moisturizer! I have sensitive skin and I didn’t react to these ingredients … well, that doesn’t mean nobody will, but I’m just saying. I like how their products usually contain more product as well. I love it Cosmetics! 💕

I know a lot of people think essential oils are just for the scent, but there are a lot of essential oils that are beneficial to anti-aging. Especially those like bergamot, rosemary, citrus oils, and frankincense, and so many more. They're far less likely to irritate than any artificial fragrances, and have actual health and healing benefits

I kinda read through the comments and thought I would share.. although DE is pricey, the Protini is not really meant to be your all in all moisturizer. Their products are very much meant to be “customize to your skin” and they recommend to mix the protini with the lala whip cream for extra hydration or even their marula oil ☺️ enjoyed the review! Just wanted to point out DE is really more about providing ingredients to do a “DIY” skin scare routine!

I tried a sample of IT cosmetics Secret Sauce and it really hydrates also so I want to read the ingredients. I bought and am using the DE Protini but I don't get as much hydration as I do with CeraVe. I don't notice any improvement with DE at all. The only thing I like about DE in fact is their packaging. Just my humble opinion.

I didn’t think I’d find a video comparing these two products. I recently bought both of these products and was curious to someone’s thought comparing the two. Your very informative and I enjoyed your thoughts. I have been using drunk elephant as a day cream and confidence in a cream as a night cream. I have seen great results doing it that way and I’m gonna keep going with it. I just turned 33 and I’ve noticed my skin is not the same as it was when I was 20-25 and it doesn’t allow me to apply makeup the way I used to. But with these two products I’ve noticed such an improvement in the way makeup sits on my skin. Thanks for the video. Your awesome!

Fantastic video! I love to know how things work and how conclusive they are too. I’ve been using a few new masks that seem to be visibly improving my skin (plus they’re super affordable😊). For quite some time I’ve had The Ordinary’s 30% AHA + 2% BHA Peeling Solution Mask but was apprehensive to use it even though my skin is very tolerant to acids. I finally tried it not too long ago and have been using it ever since. It has 100% made a positive impact on my skin and I couldn’t recommend it more. My skin tends to be dry in general, so I’m the winter it’s even worse. I have, and still am, using FAB’s Ultra Care Oatmeal Mask but have recently picked up Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Hydrating Mask, which can be used as a sleeping mask as well. I ADORE IT. It has balled my dry patches immensely. For a few months I’ve been using Skinfood’s Eggwhite Pore Mask (suggested by Geek Out of Water, love her!), and it has worked wonders on my pores without drying out my skin. Thanks for the interesting info, girlie🍃🌸.

I loved this video and now I'm curious about your Number 7 serum! 😍 I have mature, very dry, sensitive, reactive skin prone to dermatitis and eczema, and have used both of these for several months. I'm also allergic to fragrance and some citrus, but I'm happy to report the IT Cosmetic Confidence in a Cream did not irritate my skin at all. I've gone though one jar, am on my 2nd and have a 3rd, lol (I got the first 2 as part of a Shopping Channel Showstopper and the 3rd in my March Boxyluxe box). I also use other moisturizers so I normally use the IT one when my skin is irritated (which is often). The colloidal oatmeal is very soothing, and when I have an eczema flare, I also use their CC + Cream, which also has the citrus oils. It actually helps speed up healing. I agree this cream is super moisturizing and leaves your skin soft and plump. I also use the May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon during reactions or eczema flareups, and that also has citrus and essential oils, so I'm leaning to the side that thinks they can be beneficial, in the right formula, at the right percentage. I've also used the Drunk Elephant Polypeptide Cream for about a month. I liked it but I found the texture a bit thin and it was lacking the moisture I need. However, if layered with other moisturizing skincare, it's great under makeup. I tried their La la Retro cream (travel size) for a month and LOVED it so much I bought the full size. It's really thick and creamy and has no fragrance. I use it at night and had visible results after 3 months (I tested it against another cream on one side of my face). Lines are less noticeable, a few are gone and my skin looks brighter and healthier. I will continue to use both, but agree the IT Cream is probably not the best for daytime or for people with oily or acne prone skin.

I’m going to continue to use it in the winter to see how well it holds up but so far using this and switching to the tatcha oil cleanser my skin is better than its ever been. I even like it a lot better than the tatcha dewy skin cream. I have sensitive skin and for some reason the drunk elephant cream burns when I put it on. I recently started using the no 7 line correcting serum and I’m noticing a difference in a fine line on my forehead. I’m not sure if it’s that or everything else that I’ve been using. They both sound so good! And depending on skin type and preference and maybe even more concise ingredient list ~ lol! ~ will help one choose! This was such an amazing tested detailed review!! Thank you!! ... I’m just getting back into using a product or two that has a short list of peptides as I’m sensitive to them ~ I get buzzing in my body from the waist down from peptides and EGF (Epidermal Growth Factors, especially so!) It takes me about 6 months to acclimatize to them before my body no longer reacts to them. Dr Perricone of Perricone MD uses them and still does in his skincare long before the trendiness of them now and would list them on his labels as “neuro-peptides” as cellularly they work on a neurological basis in our cells. It certainly proves it in my body! 😂 The reason I’m explaining this is since you are pregnant ~ and blessings to you and your baby! 🤰🌈 ~ I encourage you that it may be a good idea to save using these types of skincare until after pregnancy and breast feeding. Just to be on the safe side. Since I know that they truly are quite active ingredients and we don’t know enough about the safety for our babies in the womb yet. And thank you once again for your awesome reviews! I always know I’m going to get a thoughtful and thorough review and I’m always excited to hear!! 😀💗

Retin A is the way to go, it’s proven to work, and any doctor can write you a script. You could start with Differin gel, though, a much weaker but similar product, it’s OTC now and not at all expensive. Be careful with these products with very active ingredients - they can be very drying. A year in, and I still use mine over moisturizer.

Love Drunk Elephant products! I’ve tried Protini and LaLa Retro Whipped. Enjoyed both however I prefer the LaLa Retro Whipped as it is much more moisturizing and hydrating, a great cream to use at night. I did not notice any major benefits when using the Protini cream, although it is clean and did not irritate or cause breakouts. I prefer to use this one during day in the summer months under makeup. It is light yet hydrates well. Not sure about the peptide claims but it’s a nice edition if already using other products with active ingredients. Retinols and AHAs are two of my faves. Have a sample of IT Cosmetics Confidence in a cream, after seeing this video looking forward to trying. I’ve tried IT Secret Sauce and enjoyed very much, reminded me of DE’s LaLa Retro Whipped Cream. My aunt sent me a full jar of the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream and also the Secret Sauce Cream. I'm just going to say it. Don't waste your money. I've tried a lot of moisturizers from drugstore all the way up to luxury brands. This is a very overly priced, average moisturizer. I was really disappointed that It Cosmetics would put out such a product. It's OKAY but there are so many other moisturizers that are 100 percent more effective and for a fraction of the cost. I'm serious. I've always been an It Cosmetics fan (color products) but the skincare is average.

What are peptides, really? Another marketing gimmick ingredient. They are just humectants, moisturizers. Moisturized skin is plumper and lines are less obvious. I don’t think peptides are doing any more than keeping your skin hydrated, they aren’t like active ingredients that truly effect the signs of aging. You also don’t need to spend that much to get the kind of benefits these creams give. There are drugstore products that will do the same. After getting a sample and liking it under makeup, I saw the It Confidence in a Gel was half price at Ulta so I picked one up. Nothing on the label about peptides, maybe they are in there, I don’t know...but the ceramides it contains are at the very bottom of the ingredient list. Still, it doesn’t have that nasty weird citrus scent the CC Cream and the Confidence in a Cream has. I don’t really detect any scent at all, and for $13, why not? If you don’t mind spending the money, and you are concerned about lines but not quite ready for RetinA, I’m liking M-61 (Blue Mercury store line) Hydroboost Line Reducer...described as a super peptide (7, I think) with glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, vitamins B5 and C. It’s a lightweight gel, cruelty free, fragrance free. I use it on my neck and chest at night, and my neck, chest, and face in the AM. I’ve been using it a few months, but I also use Tretinoin, and it’s hard to say if the results on my face are from that or from the M-61 products - but I do notice my neck and especially upper chest area look good. It’s expensive, though - but you can get smaller travel sizes or if there is a Blue Mercury near you, they will give you a sample of anything in the store.
