What snake will you say is more similar size as indigo's hog island boas or emerald basin boas? Why dies the black indigo snake looks like a 🐀 chump his tail off ?
@paulscoolscales

Hello! Those are such different species. Totally different body types. He chomped his own tail! Thought it was another snake going by while he was in super feeding mode! Just damaged it to where it had to be amputated.

Ok damn never knew that they go into super feed mode in will attack its own self inflicted damage and it attack its cage when it's in its own cage in see you with new snake it gets pissed off maybe indigos are very selfish @@paulscoolscales

Beautiful Drymarchon, my favorites as well. The Texan is incredible, when his head was in the palm of your hand, I swear he looked a lot like a black spitting cobra.

I have few questions anybody. Are they same girth width as Brazilian rainbow boa emerald basins boas? And can you feed them jumbo rats as opposes to feeding 3,4 small rat or 2 mediums rats ? Also can they tackke adult guinea pigs and chinchilla 😅 captivity besides just rats ? Are they good bird ,lizards and fish eaters meaning will they only any certain species if its kind ? So will they only go for smaller snakes or will it go for same size snakes too ?
@paulscoolscales
Ай бұрын
Those are very different species. Boas do better at larger meals and are more ambush hunters. Drymarchon are very active hunters that do better at smaller meals more frequently. They will take just about any properly sized animal for a meal!

Do the Texas Indigo’s get more colorful as they become adults? I just captured a newly hatched Texas Indigo. The snake is only about 16” long. He already ate two frozen pinkies for me yesterday. How often should I feed this baby. I appreciate any advice you have to give. Thank you. Awesome video.👍🐍
