I’ve tried a lot of fancy drives but playing the Nordvangs is a pretty special experience. There’s a “bigness” and presence that really feels like playing a tube amp blaring- the natural compression and sustain, how it feels under the fingers, the responsiveness. The versatility between toggles and dip switches makes it easy to tailor. My only knock is the noise floor on the TS side of the Gravity but I hear that’s pretty normal for a TS, it’s not that bad but more than I’m used to. The Klon is the only Klone I’ve played where I actually like the gain, more than the percent clean boost. Phenomenal, rich-sounding toan heavyweights.

Just bought the Nordvang 83 drive pedal and very happy with this pedal and havnt even ventured into the internal dip switches and stuff. I run it into my 1972 Bassman 100 and its killer sounding! Definitely not a cheap pedal but this pedal is awesome.

I own and really enjoy all 3. If I could only own one of these, hands down, it would be the Duellist. Absolutely amazing pedal, as are all Kingtone pedals. Another great video Mark, thanks!!

It would greatly enhance the usefulness of your video if you provided your own commentary relative to the various drives. Without being in my room it’s hard for the listener to get a sense of what it is that you are hearing that made differentiate these. Thanks!

Duellist’s a magical pedal.. never felt that way about my many nice pedals over the years. Never knew a pedal could sound so good. Gladio sounds a bit woofy.

Where do you have your gain stage setting at on the back of the Studio Signature? Up, Middle or Down? And what are your front settings at? You base tone sounds great?!?

Hey, thanks! Gain Structure is in the middle but the gain knob on the front is around 2 O'clock - master was around 8 o'clock.

I turn the right side of my Gladio up into fuzz territory and run it into a Jan Ray od. I channel Eric Clapton Cream. I can play for hours like that! I also have the Dualist but have never bonded with it.. too generic sounding.

Hey, any thoughts on the tube screamer (string-singer vs left side) sides of the Duellist vs the Gravity? Different enough to warrant trying both?
