I bought the Bwise DU15 Ultimate Dump trailer. Its capacity is 14 yards, payload 10k. I didn't know anything about trailers and bought it to haul food waste and compost. I have on many occasions loaded it with 20k lbs of wet compost/topsoil blend. I'm more careful now. I still do load it with up to 10 yards of compost on occasion, if it's dry enough. I've had to shovel out a few yards of compost when the lift wouldn't budge. I was a really bad driver at first and beat the hell out of it, sometimes with very heavy loads. I broke the suspension a few times and went through a lot of tires before I learned what I needed. I have upgraded to 7 leaf slipper springs, stronger u-bolts, and 14 ply tires, and I haven't had an issue since. I need to upgrade the axles from 6k to 8k soon, the front one is a little bent. After two years of heavy, near daily use, I need new brakes. The only rust is from where I damaged the trailer. It gets driven on salted roads a lot in the winter. I've put the trailer through hell, and I'm pretty amazed it's doing so well now that I understand how hard I've been on it.

I've read where those trailers have some really awesome features amd built like a tank. I'm glad it's homing up well, all considering haha. That is one hell of a load! I've seen a few in person, but never used one for any loads. The tail gate design looks really nice. I would probably rip those hydro hoses off haha. Thanks for the comment!

At least you can hit it with a wire wheel, some cheap primer and paint. Once yhe powder coat starts to peal there isnt much you can do. Moritz does make a very strong trailer.

As a former inspector for Big Tex Trailers, I can honestly say be leery of Big Tex. From the welds to the overall build it's substandard in my opinion. I was a tough inspector and was let go because of it. Supervisors said I knit picked over their trailers. The way I looked at it was those trailers travel up and down the same highways our families and friends travel and I wanted them right. Big Tex is more about getting numbers, quantity over quality.
@PheasantLaneFarm

Thank you for the honest response. I've seen the welds and powder cost first hand and I also thought both were subpar compared to other trailers. Pj was not much better. As one dealer for multiple brands told me, pj and big tex spend the money on marketing and not in building quality trailers.

A friend has a 16ft Ironbull gooseneck dump. He's beat the hell out of it and it's going strong. Loadtrail makes a very nice trailer. Their fit and finish is very nice. I don't hear many who have complaints about them. Ive looked them over and would have no issue pulling one. I've never seen a Texas pride up close. Guys who have them love them. They are built like a tank, but with that they are a bit heavier than other trailers on thr market. I wouldn't hesitate to pull any of them.

How does Bwise compare to diamon c?
@PheasantLaneFarm
3 жыл бұрын
Bwise is a very well built trailer. They have some really nice and innovative options. As far as quality, I don't think you can go wrong with either. I would really consider buying either. I've never seen a Bwise in person and they aren't as popular, but guys that own them swear by them. They would both be at the top of my list from my research. Moritz is also a well built trailer, but you get what they make, you can't really get a custom trailer as far as wall height and some other things. I heard good things about Midsota trailers also, but not alot of info on them. The PJ and Big tex did not impress me. Seem to have some issues coming from people I know that own them.

As far as hot dip vs paint, I don't plan on having it in salt enough to push me towards the hot dip. I was usually against powder coat as alot of aces don't have luck with it long term. Diamond C seems to have a very nice process and you don't hear about it peeling like you do on some other trailers. Paint is nice because you can always touch it up if so inclined.
