I've just started falling hard for her - and didn't realized how influential she was as a woman, in the music industry then, !! Aside from the amazing articulation on song, she was trail blazer powerful TV host, producer and protested apartheid before anybody 's want to even care - a very smart, talented, nonpretentious, and 100% committed to what she is doing.Thank you Frans for sharing all her videos

It was criminal how Dusty's career just plummeted in the 70's when she should have been right up there in the spotlight having hits with all the other British superstars.

Interviewer says, "Welcome home, all is forgiven." Wish all of the press would have felt that way. Would have made her life easier at that time. She put out two terrific LP's in 1979. My favorite one of those was "It Begins Again." Hot tracks.

This is such a good interview. Dusty seems so together and a very nice person eventhough she often had a troubled private life. Although Dusty is sadly no longer with us she now has an iconic status in the music industry and quite deservedly so.

Dusty was bipolar and had other mental illnesses that we didn't know about during those days and how to treat them correctly. Doctors were giving her medication if you listen to some of the interviews cost of some of the problems that she was having mentally. The medication was the wrong medication she was prescribed with that caused her all these episodes rest rest in peace God bless you Dusty Springfield the best female singer that came out of England and lived in the United States and Canada. Thank you for being a Trailblazer for us and marrying a woman

I love Dusty's look here in 1978 ! The fashions were easy and natural back then and even though these days "feathered" hair is out of mode , she wears it really well. I hated her hair when she reappeared in the 80's with the wacky frizz and dry blowout !....... Let's face it , we ALL looked horrible then !!!! I loved her early beehive/bubble looks too !¹. Her "sooty" eyeshadow and gigantic blonde bombshell hairdo was sooooo wild ! The 60's and 70's was super fabulous ! Just a little "style moment" from an old fashion illustrator ! R.I.P. , Ms. Dusty Springfield

So true. She was so underappreciated by the mainstream in the USA, it's so heartbreaking that she didn't have more hits here and the success of, say Tom Jones and Elvis because she is the ONLY women who is their equal in every way, voice, versatility, natural talent, stage presence, showmanship and humility. That's saying a lot, since I think Patsy Cline also had a great voice and stage presence, (I know this because she was a good friend of my mom's) but Patsy was not as versatile as Dusty, nor did she have her vocal range, she was humble though. Dusty is the Queen. RIP Dear, Beautiful Dusty.

She turned her back on the UK for the glamorous lifestyle of the USA, and preferred a swimming pool in her garden to remembering her roots in Ealing. Went where it suited her, not patriotic at all.
