Beautiful! My Uncle had a repair shop and like you he was a perfectionist. However, you are correct. It was not economical feasible for the labour and time involved. I wish you could make a million dollars for your talents. Thank you.

I like using an electric drill. You can find brushes or polish pads made for a drill. I think it will lower the labor & time it takes.

A restoration like that makes me think of a collector car that is so pristine, the owner won't drive it anywhere but on-and-off trailers at awards galas. 😅 Fantastic job.

Well done Kenny! Although I could listen to to talk about the way grass grows, with that magical Scottish accent. I don’t know who’s filming, but if your wifey ever does, make sure she says whatever comes into her mind!

Great video, excellent results! My hat is off to you sir. I just redyed my vintage Red Wing loggers back to black and your video was very helpful. May I ask, what is the correct name of the boot holder you used when polishing these boots? I like it. Keep up the awesome work!😎

Nice work. I would of done another coat of dye. Just to really penetrate into the leather. I recently dyed a pair of gloves and a pair of boots from brown to black. I did 2 coats. Once dryed I used natural boot wax and let that soak for a further day. Then used a touch of black boot polish, just to give the boots a bit of extra shine.

Bedo leatherworks charges a fortune to rework shoes, I’m guessing maybe his pricing is designed in part to deter. He’s fantastic so maybe money well spent though often the repair costs more than the retail price of shoes so unless it’s sentimental value no idea why anyone would do it.

I asked a friend the same thing when I was in college and I don't remember what he said, but later I realized it was just against his religion. (Everyone has a religion, you see--if it isn't theistic, then it's socio-political....just look at all the cultural crusading that goes on at college campuses lol). I have no idea what this gentleman's reasons are though, and I'm not implying anything about him. Could be anything-from being unsure about changing an already decently working business model (which can be hard to come by), or in some places weird regulations on the trade, or any one of a thousand other reasons.

Nice video. I have a pair of chelsea boots and I want to change their color from camel to black. But they have elastic on the sides. Is it possible to dye the elastic as well with same leather dye? If no, then any suggestions is really appreciated ? Thanks.

Timberland boots are usually nubuck leather so you would need a nubuck leather dye but I would recommend a dark brown colour to cover over any stains 👍
