Really amazed you guys haven't tackled the 4.0T yet, considering all of the models it's been dropped into since 2013... Obviously there is/was the S4.0T project, but I've heard that any plans to develop a swap kit have been shuttered due to coding/wiring harness complication. Regardless of swap kits, it would seem like an easy opportunity to develop S6, A8, S8 ECU tunes off of the platform?

My theory on this is a combination of economics and reliability. The 3.0T has a bigger market so it makes sense to pursue that heavily to make it worth exploring other platforms. The 4.0T also doesn't seem to have the same reliability as the 3.0T engines and anything going wrong costs more money to address. Not that they aren't reliable but personally this has kept me on a 3.0T platform.

@@SirSchmittyX I hadn't heard any specific issues with the 4.0T. Are you referring to anything in particular? Based on the shockingly similar used prices of 4.0T - 3.0T cars, I would think them very appealing. For $5-10K more than an S4 you could drive an S6, A8, S8 with very up market fit and finish, more advanced features, and an engine with roughly 33% more performance, both base, and potential. The S4 is obviously a fantastic car, but pretty much tops out reliably around 550 HP, while there are 4.0Ts STARTING at 605 HP, even the most affordable of which with 700+ HP potential.

@@ReQuiem_2099 The B9 S4 is obviously lighter. I think spec for spec the S6 is about 600-700 pounds heavier. Some people don't want a car that large especially if you live in the city. People are also just now scratching the surface with what the B9 3.0T can do AND still get 30mpg on the highway. Can't beat that. So you have to choose between a reliable 500 or a risky 600+. I know at least 3 people that pushed their 4.0T's a little far and were running into various issues. They got rid of the V8 in the current S6 anyway so 034 would be developing for an older platform or the RS6/S8/RSQ8 and ROI might not be worth it to them considering the cost of entry.

This is something we plan on looking into in the future, but our main priority right now is the B9 2.9T and 3.0T platforms.

@@034motorsport Can't blame you for going where the money/interest is. But I would think that the ready supply of 4.0T cars, dating back to 2013 across a metric ton of Audi and Porsche vehicles, combined with their lower barrier of entry AND higher output potential, would make them much more popular. Sure, C7/D4/D5/etc. tend to be a bit heavier, but when a simple flash will give you 700 HP, I'd think the trade-offs win out. Plus, of course, a used B9 S4 runs $30-40K, while 4.0T models start in the low $20Ks.

my experience in 2.9tt, I am not recommending a intake upgrade. you will get in to compressor surge issue at low rpm from 5 to 8th gear. stock intake is good with stage 3 tune.

This is not something we have experienced ourselves. From Stock to Stage 3, we have not seen any issues running our upgraded cold air intake systems.

It looks like you're comparing Stage 1 E85 Crank figures to Stage 2 93 Crank figures. Stage 2 93 octane is 476 Crank Horsepower. Stage 3 93 octane is 604 Crank Horsepower.

can we use toleune boosted 100 ron fuel *boosted to 105-110) for your e85 tune

We have not tested that so we cannot say, but toluene is not ethanol and has different characteristics closer to gasoline, so very doubtful this would work.

Stage 3 TCU is only meant for big turbo applications like the TTE710. We recommend Stage 2 TCU in this case

Considering you represent a brand/company saying there is some "bad air intakes" on the market isn't being very modest to say the least. If you guys, make a kick ass product the sales alone would speak for itself!
