Watching Bill's videos got me back into fishing after a long layoff. It is sad that he passed away, but nice that KZitem has given him a kind of immortality.

In 3 weeks i will move to a place that has a cave, so the temperature will not change to much. I will start to do the same, as i have a big problem finding worms to buy. Great video, thank you.

Hi Bill, great video. I was just wondering how often you need to clear the compost/castings? And do you just discard the water that will drip into the bottom bucket? Thanks

Hi Bill I have been looking into making my D.I.Y wormery for a few months now I have watched a right few video's and yours by a country mile has been the best example. When I was a kid here in Ireland I use to be able to dig a bean tin full of blackhead worms or (Lob worms ) in a few hours . I have recently found them near impossible to find and when I looked into buying them online I couldn't believe how expensive they are. Anyway thanks for sharing this video it will be a great help.

It seems to take about 30 days for the worms to breed and reproduce and a total of about 3 months to produce worms of a size suitable for fishing but this varies according to the conditions the worms are kept in. Plenty of ventilation and good bedding are probably the most important factors. I continue experimenting and have been told to try “layers mash” for feeding to fatten the worms.
