Never forget he was one of the milestone players who changed heavy rock guitar forever, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Randy Rhoads. Jimi heavied the blues, EVH brought in speed and new technique, Randy brought in precision, speed, theory and the classical influence into rock. Everyone else after them who got big built on what these 3 geniuses already had done. Others played in bands and copied them.
