Pam, you moved me talking about your mom's roll recipe. I am 68 and am one of 12 children, 7 girls and 5 boys. I love watching you with your sisters. Every girl in our family were good cooks. My mom cooked for a living after my dad passed when I was only 3 yrs old. Hard times were plentiful but through it all we always had food. There are only 4 of us still living. It was pure joy to see you beautiful girls together. Your mom and dad did a wonderful job. God bless each one of you.

Loved this video with your sisters, you’re all such intelligent and beautiful ladies. All of your accumulated information is so valuable. One thing else, we never stop missing our parents, the other day I suddenly missed my dad knowing how much I needed his knowledge on a certain project I’m facing and I came to tears. I’m 68 and I’m still someone’s kid. God bless you all.

How wonderful that novice cooks can incorporate each preservation method from these beautiful ladies! Even new cooks can try each method to find what works best for them & in time, can grow their knowledge! I teared up with you Pam. Recently I have gone back to my great grandmother’s (grandmother & mother’s too) recipes for simplification ($$ cost saving) & tastes I love from long ago. Just about everything we do is a nod to our ancestors and what an honor it truly is!! GOD keep you all!! xxxx
Mrs Pam this is so awesome! Loved seeing you with your sisters. I truly understood the emotion you felt talking about your mother's recipe. My mother passed this April will be 10 years and I often crave the food she made for me when I was a child. My mother was no scratch baker but the foods she made were amazing and I often get emotional thinking of her so I definitely can relate. Some days food was limited and my mother always kept canned food (in cans) available for making a quick meal.

Like other viewers of this particular video, I felt very touched by the way Pam reacted to her mother’s roll recipe. I geared up seeing the emotion that overwhelmed you. I am sure all of you miss your mom immensely. I watch RoseRed Homestead for your honesty, knowledge, vulnerability (tent/camping debacle), and help with prepping. My husband & I watch your videos every day. I am new at canning, afraid to an extent, but have potatoes and pumpkins to can in our new Nesco pressure canner. We’re attempting those this Sunday…fingers crossed, we succeed. We will watch both videos on them while we can. Thank you Pam & Jim, as well as the Patchwork crew!🥰

Hello Patchwork Sisters! I sincerely enjoyed watching you all talk about the new book and all the special memories. I too was weepy. It reminded me of a special time with my Papa. I was around 3 and he made the best Carrot Cake in a pound cake pan with black walnuts (tree was in backyard) and I helped of course! Ms. Pam I have been watching Rose Red Videos for about year now. You and Jim are such a wonderful team and I have learned so much. I have been building our Pantry for a couple of years now but, I had not canned anything in over 30 years. Then, you show me meat could be canned! I've been so excited, pressure canning with my sister "Cheryl" who was also the first born and leader in all our canning sessions! Love spending time with her and you are usually right there with us on the big screen. Thanks to you and Jim for sharing your ideas and knowledge with all us. Oh yes, and for adding a little extra fun, laughter, sugar and spice with the Patchwork Sisters! Also, my husband "Danny" surprised me with a copy of your first cookbook with Cindy. Congratulations!

Hearing you, Pam, and your sister's talk about your families history and growing into developing food banks in your homes have touched me in so many ways, I started weeping to. Thank you for teaching me so many new ways of food preservation. I had a very close call with my health that started two years ago. I knew my health was getting bad about the time the country was on lock down because of Covid and they were showing lines of people on the news waiting to pick up free food. My sons both know how to garden but my daughter had never been interested. I decided I needed to teach her how. She might need that skill some day. This year I made it my mission to teach her to can. We've had a lovely time. The one thing I didn't know about and was afraid of was pressure canning. My daughter got online and found your channel. You have taught us so much about all the types of food preservation. Thank you so much. We are now going to start dehydrating other foods and trying out powders. We have been dehydrating herbs. Thank you for passing food preservation on to my daughter and me. We love you and your family.

The Fried Rice looks wonderful, the Tacamale Pie, the soups, and I could go on and on. Every recipe is one I would make in this cookbook. The cookies look fabulous and I will make them to share for Christmas. The suggestions and hints are so nice and helpful too. I want to thank you all for the wonderful compilation of recipes.
