I'm from Detroit born and raised, but I live in El Paso (no, I'm not a soldier). There aren't really "Hoods" here. There are poor areas, but El Paso has literally been the safest large city in America for the last 20 years. CharlieBo should have crossed that Bridge of Americas and went to Ciudad Juarez Mexico. He was literally right there near Chamizal Park. He would have gotten some GOOD footage in Juarez (one of the most dangerous cities on the planet). My wife is from there and I've been a bunch of times.

The reason why the palm trees are dead looking is because over Valentine’s Day weekend we had arctic outbreak over here along with the rest of Texas. The city was below freezing for about three days straight and the nights dipped down to around 15 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 10 degrees Celsius) Not to worry though, they are starting to regrow their new leaves and should be green again by summer.
