Necessities:
Step 1 :
Oerdie (urad) flour ground split peas 100 grams
100 ml of water and let it soak for 30 minutes
Step 2 :
Cumin 1 tbsp
Curcuma 1 tbsp
Onion 1 whole
Garlic 4 cloves
Red pepper or adjoema
Tayer leaf 3 sprigs finely cut 35 grams
Sandwiches mix 2 tbsp
Self-raising flour 400 grams
oil 1 tbsp
Salt or flavor aromatic 1 tbsp
Step 3 :
Mixing all the above ingredients this mixture together is bara
Step 4:
Knead for 5 minutes. Finally, add the vegetable tayer leaf, knead for 1 minute.
Step 5:
Wet the mixture.
Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour.
Step 6 :
Baking the bara: and immediately make the shapes.
Which size you can use best is the donut size not too big
so that you can fry 4 of them in the pan with hot oil at the same time.
Wet your hands, moisten them every time you make your bara mold to prevent sticking, you prefer to use gloves too.
Let the temperature get very hot between 160 and 190 degrees
Bake for 2 to 2.5 minutes on both sides until golden brown.
Then put everything in a bowl with kitchen paper or baking pier so that all the fat can drip out.
Which sambal to use:
Mango chutney or tomato sambal
