The Sgian Dubh is back for a limited run. I have one on the way. When I saw it on the site I knew it was for me. I am new to Emerson so I’m hoping for more

I really like this video and the comparison. I did not realize how small this was and it looks perfect for its intended purpose not to mention the awesome history!

Hi Man I have a question, did you notice any difference between the v chisel grind(like on the horseman) and the chisel chisel grind(and the cqc 7 or bulldog)? Because I thought the chisel chisel blades would have a slightly sharper and smaller edge angle. Looking at getting a chisel grind chisel edge Emerson like the bulldog but I don’t know if they cut slightly Better. Thanks for the video man!

good question... you know it depends what year of models we are talking about ... but the newer emerson are pretty much all set to the same angle. I'll need to try some tests and get back to you ... chisel grind might have some slight advantage but I need to double check that.

the sgian dubh is not a weapon it's a utility knife that's worn in the sock, the weapon knife is the dirk that's worn on the waist.

If you like the sgian dubh you might like the dirk, they are a robust dagger that is traditionally carried at all times and used to swear allegiance and seal a promise.
