That slap just sent his career through the roof while simultaneously sending Will's to the dirt..well done Chris. Will's son Jaden said afterward "This is how we do it" Chris may have took a slap but by composing himself and responding with class the way he did, he gave Will the equivalent of a knockout punch without even touching him...That is how a good and decent human being does it...Jaden Smith.

Codependency, Enablers, Yes Men, Yes women have kept this man toxic. Jada never wanted him. She didn’t want the wedding. She didn’t want to be married. She didn’t want children. It’s all in his book. Will missed every red flag. Jada only wanted the booty call while Will was separated from his first wife. He couldn’t have his ego crushed as being just a fling. He forced his way into her life. There’s narcissism and codependency with these two. You know who suffered at the hands of Will physical abuse? The comedian. You know who suffered emotional/verbal abuse? The comedian. Instead of taking that anger out on Jada. His mother. His sister. His strong brother and August Alsina who openly slept with Jada. Jada tried to minimize the entire relationship she had with him. Will needs to be held accountable even if Chris Rock don’t press charges. Now, all comedians are going to be in fear. Thanks a lot Will.

Doug is a wise man, telling it like it is... Will has shown his lack of class & common sense...There was a better way of expressing his dislike of the joke; perhaps a later time; off camera would have been better...Chris is a comedian, who meant no harm. He said nothing harmful. Many women have shaved or closely shaved heads as a nice look. To begin with, Chris said, "I love you, Jada." He eluded that she could be in Part 2 of the movie, lovely Demi Moore was in... Will was out of place; he is NOT who we thought he was! Denzel was the best actor for me...Will showed his true colors & embarrassed himself on his finally winning an Oscar...If this is how is on camera, I fear for those near him when he goes off when cameras are off… He had the gall to go on stage & attacked Chris in a violent way by slapping him…Will went back to his seat, shouted & cursed Chris, not one, but twice. … He should’t have been allowed back on stage to accept an award. In his speech, he spoke about how Richard fiercely defended his family…Really? … Richard had several kids before Venus & Serena & he abandoned them all… Will also cried & spoke about love, but never apologized to Chris. Will apologized to the Academy only because he wanted to be invited back, as he said at the end of his speech… Then, a the after party, he is jumping around laughing, singing, dancing as if he hadn’t done anything wrong….Will Smith should be held accountable, have the award rescinded & not be allowed back to the awards ceremony…. This man has won at least 5 awards for a movie that he made about himself. He became so cocky, he disgraced himself… The movie didn’t even do well at the box office or streaming . Look at the title. He never would have allowed Angela Bassett to play the mother…It’s all about Will… Everything is about him & he acts as if he has done no wrong…The sad thing is, now he apologized to Chris, the day after because of the investigation the Academy is doing…Will has been violent before ie: the day after receiving his 1st Grammy & with producers connected to his TV show. He always got away with it…He can’t continued to be rewarded for such out of control behavior.

They got married, she didn’t want to get married. Like there is so many red flags around her that she doesn’t seem to love her husband and Will is so afraid to get divorced again... He never wanted it the first time he got divorced and doesn’t want it now. So he’s afraid to leave her and does everything for her and she’s literally using Will for her own benefits. You can see how HURT Will are and she’s not. Like common... She’s the narcissist and manipulative b*tch. Sorry I’m really angry at her. I’m sure Will did the slap to prove he’s love for Jada cause I think he doesn’t get what he deserves from her. He literally planned her 40th birthday I believe it was for three years about her heritage, her grand, grand something parents who were slaves I think etc to show her her past and did lots of stuff and she HATED IT ALL... Will completely disregarded everyone else in the room & the millions(!?) watching around the world in his approach towards Chris; his physical assault of Chris & then finally his verbal responses to Chris! And then carried on like nothing happened for the rest of the show! And even when Amy did her best shortly afterwards to lighten the mood, Will is sitting there laughing at her like he forgot that he was the cause for the "different vibe" in the room. I sincerely hope Will finds the help he needs because that was completely abnormal behaviour from someone whom I've admired ever since he was the "Fresh Prince". @Loving Paws why should he definitely not tell jokes when he was hired to do such??? How about Jada should had definitely not sat her butt in the front row if she didn't want to be commented on. Maybe Will and Jada shouldn't have shared so much of their personal life to be commented on. Maybe there was a worst joke about her Entanglement that Chris thought was disrespectful but went with the haircut reference.... It's a whole bunch of what ifs we could apply but if you not gonna use common sense then you do yourself a disservice by even trying to mention these half points that can be easily dismantled.... It was words and not the worst ones ever. The violent reaction to words was an unnecessary overcorrection that won't ever be justified in that moment.

Will Smith did to Chris Rock what Will's father did to him as a child and what Jada has been doing to him as an adult. They both physically, emotionally bullied and manipulated Will because he's weak. Jada sleeps with her son's best friend and makes their personal lives public on a red table to manipulate him and the public to show how it's his fault and Will does nothing, he just takes it. Narcissists prey on weak individuals with high empathy who don't have boundaries and Will has been manipulated so much that he's now protecting his abuser. Will slapped Chris because he saw an opportunity to assault someone he thought was weaker than himself to protect the image of his wife who is a toxic narcissist. Will at that moment feared Jada more than the backlash of the world, losing his Oscar, getting kicked out of the academy, getting arrested and losing the respect of all his peers for assaulting Chris on a world stage, that speaks volumes and also explains why Will turned on a dime at that moment after seeing Jada's disgust. It also explains his strange behavior the rest of the night as if nothing had happened. This isn't Will. He's lost his identity and questions his own reality because that's what toxic narcissists do to empathetic individuals. If someone doesn't intervene, he will spiral into severe depression. mark my words. Denzel to Will - "At your highest moment, be careful, that’s when the devil comes for you
