Great camera work and presence.. These should really be a full half hour travel show.

Starbreaker666 you're too kind! I'd have to find the time or some staff, for even a 12-minute video takes about 8 hours to produce.

I agree with this! Your channel reminds me very much of Rick Steves on PBS. He DOES have the staff and you do just as well.

No Elk! Hah!! Last time we went through that area there were two herds of Elk next to the highway. Everyone had pulled over to the side to take pictures. California Highway Patrol came along and chased us all out of there! Checked out the campground that you stayed at on Yelp. There were an abnormal amount of complaints about the people that ran the place. :( Fortunately there are many other good places to go. Definitely my wife and I would like to check out the Fern Valley trail.

The management hardly left us with any warm fuzzy feelings, but at the same time there was nothing at all negative about our experience. We'd stay there again if we were back in the area.

Another great video Marc. If you’re interested in some history about the trees themselves, check out the book “The Wild Trees” by Richard Preston. It’s the story of a few very brave, and sometimes crazy people who set out to find, and climb, the tallest trees and what lives amongst them in the Redwoods. It’s a fascinating read full of history, daring and adventure.

I didn’t see your dogs on this video. Are dogs allowed in the Red Wood national park?
@GrandAdventure
5 жыл бұрын
Yes they're allowed, with the usual National Park-type restrictions on hiking, etc. The pups were with us, but they stayed back at the RV with Mrs. Grand Adventure while I explored the park for the day.

One Quick question did you hit the Avenue of the Giants going South
@GrandAdventure
5 жыл бұрын
We did not, Shain. Once we pulled up stakes in the Eureka/Arcata/Trinidad area, where had been for roughly a week total between Elk Country RV Resort and Mad River Rapids RV park, we went straight to Westport-Union Landing State Beach north of Fort Bragg.

Are these areas accessible by an RV if we don't have a separate car?

Yes they are Adele, no problem at all -- with the exception of Gold Hill Beach/Fern Canyon. That would require a car to get to.
