Hey Will, (New subscriber) . I'm a recently retired UK Paramedic. I last built a plastic kit (Airfix and revel ) 50 years ago, when I was 16. I've just rediscovered model making and so much has changed. For a start Airbrushing!? Anyway I've loved watching your videos and particularly this series as I bought this Tamya model! Your style of imparting knowledge is easy to follow and inspiring, Thanks and keep up the good work!

Will, these videos are essential. I cannot thank you enough. Modeling has certainly come a long way since my time of using tube glue and the subsequent glue fingerprints. Yeah, I want to get good at modeling. You and Matt are essential viewing for this goal.

I’m a new modeler and feel the video length is perfect. Keep them as long as they need to be to get the point across. Thanks for all the helpful techniques and theory.

Regarding the length of your videos, love them Will, the longer....the better! I do, also, really enjoy those, seldom are, but I try to make them, 10 Minutes of Random! Here's to a better and more successful 2020 to you and yours! 👍🏻🍻

Enjoyed the vid, as well as the series. I'm not up to your level as a modeler, but I'm also not a newbie. That said, I always learn something! And any tool you've recommended that I've tried has been spot on! I especially love my GP sprue nippers. Guess I got them when the gettin' was good. LOL

Just a bit of trivia in the 90's I used to service lifts (elevators) at Castle Bromwich and there was still the outline of spitfire winds where they used to paint them outside pity phones didn't have cameras in the day. Great vid' keep it up.

Happy New Year. I hope 2020 and beyond will be highly successful and enjoyable for you. Very clever format which brings not only the questions but the answers to life. We will now all be trying to get a question aired in the Q&A sessions. Always very enjoyable to watch and informative as usual. Many thanks for taking the time to make edit and post. Regards

With your engineering background, I would very much like to hear your thoughts on the airbrush spray booth. What flow design gets the job done. what air cleaners last and so on. Please and Thank You.

Hey Will, how's your air compressor gauge working out? I saw the video of you saying that the New one working much better. So, I was considering buying one for my Paasche D3000R compressor, but I was wondering if an oil filled gauge would work better??

About long videos there is another solution that helps: the KZitem people in a hurry can adjust the speed up to 2x the normal one so there's no excuses to not see the long ones, thanks for your kind words about my humble person, appreciate it! :-)

Just a comment regarding the UV glue - I have some stuff I've bought in Germany, that comes in various viscosities. Which is fine. Downside of it is - their products are really soft. Something like hot-gun glue. That's why I can relate to the comment that not all UV glues are equal and some are really soft and impossible to polish.

Hahaha, too long comments. It honestly doesnt bother me when you go off on another tangent, there is generally useful information amongst it. I think I will get this kit and use this series of videos as a build along and have them playing while I build, so the length really isn't an issue.

My Uncle Bob went to school for industrial arts, and he once told me that the forms for injection molding were extremely expensive, I think he said hundreds of thousands per sprue/part/etc. Is there any veracity to that, that you're aware of? If so, would that still be true to any degree today (he's almost 70 now, so maybe that had more to do with the stage of the industry then)
@barpfoto

totally true. it's been said by credible sources that on average, tooling for a kit costs $1000/part.
@thecontendingforthefaith

@@barpfoto that's crazy, especially when one considers those Dragon kits with over a thousand parts.. Makes one wonder how they're able to make any profit at all, considering model building isn't an exceptionally popular hobby..what makes it so expensive?

Every vizor I've tried gives me a head ache. I'm on of those strange guys that can't wear a hat unless its very, very loose! And vizors need to be tight. So I've ordered inexpensive reading glasses in 3, 3.5, 4 & 5 powers. I find I rely on 3.5 for most work and 5 for tiny details.

You know what else is basic... timestamps. I know I'd really appreciate being able to skip to the bits I'm interested in. I'm sure the analytics show people switching off before the end.
