HIGH PERFORMANCE EPOXY
SURFACE PREPARATION
The concrete surface should be free of unbound cementitious by products, loose dirt, oil, grease, or other contamination. Any animal or petroleum contamination should be remove with Increte’s GREASE AWAY.Surfaces should be acid etched using a 5 to 1 solution of water to muratic acid. Interior surfaces that have paint, sealer or other coatings, should be prepared by mechanical means ( shot-blast, sand-blast or by rotary sander). All surfaces should have a sandy like finish before installing overlay systems.
Temperature Requirements
Heat shall be provided to maintain a minimum air and substrate temperature of 60’ F. for three days before and three days after installation, for needed resin cure. This temperature must be maintained until resin cure is complete. Application of epoxy above 100` F is not recommended because of the short working time.
MIXING AND INSTALLATION
1.Pour Cure into a clean bucket and then add Resin, mix together with drill motor and mixing paddle for a minimum of 3 minutes. Let stand in bucket for 8 to 9 minutes(this includes mix time) this is called induction of components. This part of mixing is vary critical to start the chemical reaction between the Cure and Resin. Once the induction period is over stir Epoxy for one minute and pour entire contents of bucket on floor. Cut in all edges with paint brush, spread Epoxy on floor with squeegee and back roll with foam roller not leaving any puddles. Spike shoes or golf shoes will be worn during installation process.
