I think this song is very underrated. It is in the bottom 10 of almost every top video I see. Some people were calling it generic when a snnippet leaked but I actually think it’s very original and some of the beats are pretty unusual. The song has nice meaning too, I kinda feel it. Top 15 for me

I like the song. According to my music streaming service it’s my 4th most played song amongst this year’s Eurovision songs. Though my initial reaction to it was “I like the latter part of the song.” Love the editing to get it past copyright! Very clever! The pronunciation thing you mentioned must not just be an English thing. I only speak English fluently and am only partially fluent in Spanish and French, but I have friends who speak various languages who have complained similarly about the trends of dropping final sounds of words, weird pronunciations, etc in modern music. As I can’t really tell beyond English (other than the dropping final sounds of words) I am just trusting my friends on this so if you know others who speak a different language you can ask them to see if they agree with my friends…I should point out these are friends that English is their second language. So you all might be right that it’s either how he’s learned to sing in English or it’s something music producers/songwriters/etc are pushing. If it really is happening in other languages like my friends say, then I definitely suspect the latter is true and the reason it’s happening so much more often. If my friends are incorrect, then the former is probably true and it’s just how he and others are learning to sing in English. And I get that. I listened to French and Spanish songs from various artists (Celine Dion, Garou, etc for French, Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, RBD, etc for Spanish) when I was learning the languages.

Yeah… Diction IS an issue here. It’s not “lassos” but instead “lost souls”. Just be glad you don’t hear what I hear which is “a**holes”. Supposedly he’s working on it though. Having said that I still like it, there’s something earnest here. Good poppy song for me, I’d play this. It hasn’t been that well received in the bubble but I still think it has a decent chance of qualifying if he can deliver this live. I like his voice.

Wow. I GENUINELY have thought it's "lassos" every single time. That makes a bit more sense at least. It's unfortunate because he's clearly very talented, especially for someone so young.

I know, had to look it up myself! But from what I heard he has supposedly received the feedback and will try to make is sound more understandable, so we’ll see.

I'm a big time fan of this song! I really love it and it took me a while to click. The dication part now hearing it pointed out i'm like yeah that is a valid criticism, because yeah wtf is he saying. I'm hoping that he can work it out, last year Stefan had some similar issues, mainly with the Eesti Laul performance, and he stored them out fine by the time he got to Turin. He hasn't done any precontest shows, that I'm aware of, so we just holding our breath until Liverpool.

Victor gives me Sam Fender vibes, and I like Sam😁 Victor is only 16, and half Danish. I like this song and he will do well outside of ESC❤

That was clever editing if it went past copyright police! I'm in a very small minority as I quite like this one alot...despite diction and even production could've been polished up a bit. But I guess for a typical eurovision audience this is far too mainstream.

Could you also put the Cyprus reaction up? (with the whole song section muted)… because it's your thoughts after watching that matters :) TY

I call it "lazy-speak". Where someone merges words and then also doesn't finish it in it's entirety. I don't know where it came from but it needs to stop.

So, since this figures to be the last reaction you upload, I figure I may ask this here, any chance Latvia or Israel reactions comeback from what I assume is copyright claim limbo?
@MyrtleP

Israel is actually next. I know in the Sweden video we made it sound like that was the last song, but it was just our last day of recording. Woops And Latvia was one we posted ages ago. I'll have to double check that it made it to the playlist and hasn't been taken down post fact.

@@MyrtleP oh... looking at the playlist and seeing the two private videos I thought Israel was one of them, not thinking that it could just as well have been a futile attempt to get a Cyprus reaction up.

nothing wrong with his English its a question of stylization as you said. very mature vocals and lyrics beyond his age. I wouldn't count him out yet not a Eurovision friendly entry

Solid song, but this could’ve been presented by any other country and it wouldn’t make a difference. Greece will likely qualify because of neighborly voting.

Cant stand the singing style but the melody grew on me... Lassos aside, the lyrics are not the best
