I loved the conversation at the end of the podcast. Knitting has carried me through the best and the worst of times. As I look back over 40+ years, I have come to realize that it is not what I do, it is part of who I am! Most recently my husband's surgeries, 7 weeks of daily radiation, chemo treatments and months of feeding tubes ect. Thank God it resulted in a cancer free diagnosis! I don't know how I would have made it through without it. Tx!

I have been slow to return to this podcast as I so miss the previous owners so much. They were one of the first knitting podcasts I started watching at the start of the pandemic. But I watched today and really enjoyed it and I must say the conversation at the end really resonated with me. Having lost my son 7 months ago, my knitting is everything to me (besides being with my other 2 adult children & my husband). Sometimes it's a healer and sometimes it helps you stay stuck in your own little world until you're ready to come out in the world again. Anyway, thank you lovely ladies ❤

As one, whose knitting has helped me through many difficult times, and a few sleepless nights, I want to thank you for the conversation at the end of your podcast. It is reassuring to know that others have the same feelings/experiences. The projects you shared are all lovely, especially the colourwork items! Your creativity is most inspiring.

Good podcast! I liked the places you went in the conversation. Life is getting more complicated and we cant just talk knitting - talking about knitting and the events that affect us is so much better, makes many of us feel that we are not alone in how we move through our days and also brings awareness to the things that perhaps we are unaware of. LOVE the skirt! It will be lovely to see yours Naomi and I loved all the pieces highlighted on this video - thank you! Hope the knitting festival goes well.

Your spontaneous conversation really did resonate with me. I am a widow with grown children and had breast cancer at the beginning of the pandemic. Therefore, I isolated more than most of my acquaintances (not all of them understood this, but I had medical staff to protect as well as myself). If I had not had my knitting practice I don’t know how I would have got through that time. I too spent WAY too much time knitting - but it was more satisfying and productive than watching TV. It is also a meditative process which was so helpful. Loved your podcast and see many more projects in my future because if it! Thank you!

Wonderful episode, knitting is definately something that I spend a lot of time on and enjoy immensly. I sometimes feel like I need to make myself stop knitting and do other things too but it has been such a comfort to have during this difficult time of Covid. Thanks for having the conversation. Beautiful knits and designs. I live in Boston and can't wait to come visit you sometime. Hopefully this summer :)

I am so with you Naomi, I knit more and do a lot less due to the pandemic. Still not gym and I am now worried about going to my yoga studio (I know someone who got Covid and only attended yoga). One issue is that there is so much beautiful yarn and lovely patterns. You both have such a nice way in your vlog, very refreshing.

Great discussion- the last few years have been especially stressful for me and my family. My husband passed away from cancer in 2018, and my daughter, who is severely disabled, was hospitalized five times that year with serious bowel issues. I managed to keep a very busy schedule going with volunteering, friends and family, and starting a knitting circle. But then boom: pandemic. I am still super busy, and there have been wonderful moments like the birth of my first grandchild, but I often feel weary with it all. Knitting is the one thing that I always turn to, and sometimes it is the only thing I want to do. I just want to say a big thanks for podcasting to you and the other podcasters whom I follow: you have kept me company during many lonely times.❤️🇨🇦🇫🇮

It was so good to learn about your obsessive knitting. And I bet that this topic resonated with many viewers. I have been there at the beginning of the pandemic with a job that went on and had to be done, an awful boss, homeschooling and a sick hubby. I was knitting every evening until total exhaustion and yet if I hadn‘t had this outlet I don‘t know what I had done to calm my nerves down. For me this wasn‘t heavy talk. It resonated so much with me. Thank you for sharing! ❣️

Great podcast. You guys always come up with wonderful ideas, patterns and knowledge about yarn. I'm trying to convince my husband to come to Montreal with me (i'm in Toronto). I love the skirt you designed, It is truly amazing. I am feeling a lot like Naomi. I am still working, but my kids are grown and so I have a lot of time to knit. I've stopped exercising and socializing and now have to make the effort to get out. Good reminder to get moving and earn the right to knit or crochet! Rosie

And another comment saying that the conversation at the end resonated with me! Naomi I'm like you, I don't have kids. I also live alone, so sometimes I feel I reach an almost 'unhealthy' relationship with my knitting, I have to 'force' myself to get up and move, otherwise I'm very happy sitting at the same position and knitting for hours. I'm also an introvert, so if I have the choice I always want to choose stay home and knitting instead of seeing people 😳... I am working on that though! Can't wait to see you both at knit city!! 😊

She is an American living in Belgium. In her latest episode, she talks about you and one of your patterns, Le Mousseux, at 2:26. Lovely to spend part of an afternoon with you both! I think we're all feeling the drag of things right now -- thank you for making me feel a little less alone in it. Also, thanks for talking about how the part of crafting where you're learning a new skill isn't so much relaxing. I really needed to hear that as I (again!) undid a new way of doing something wrong on something I'm learning. If I ever get this one figured out, I think that Syrinx will be my next challenge! What a beauty! I'm thinking in a sea glass blue/green.

Wow- You two have put out a great and inspiring podcast on multiple levels! You both are much more at ease on the screen, the visuals are vastly improved and both of you look great and seem so much more relaxed. I kept stopping the video to share some of your designs and products with my fellow knitters. Stephanie's skirt is a work of art and such a fabulous design. Thank you as well for the candid banter at the end of the video - you openly discussed the concerns of so many of us who have many projects and can't seem to keep up with those knitters whom we admire who seem to get so much accomplished. Like Naomi, I could knit for hours on end and I have some guilt about neglecting exercise or even stepping out of doors or socializing - I'm so perfectly content just knitting ( glad I'm not alone) Thank you. Keep it up - you inspire and create beautiful crafts and we are now all benefitting.

Hi over there, I just love your show your colourwork pieces are just gorgeous BUT this sweater with the mohair edges blew my mind just a lovely item this is invented to be used all the time. Besides of that I love your open words on how we should judge our progress and speed. Always compare oneself with others isnt healthy at all and beside pushing ourselfs to finish a garement because one wants to podcast and show off this item either is healthy. We all are going to ruff times with slightly different or bigger problems. Doing crafty things is a good way to get grounded again, but if its turning into obsession than.....it might is another problem (the dosis makes the poisson). Talking about it helps, talking about the struggles one has also and also to point out that other things in life arent perfect so thank you Naomi for your open words about your struggles with getting up in the mornings and getting things done which are not knitting related and thanks Steph for your open words as beeing a mother and wife and having a job means if you knit more other things arent getting done....thats what we are all in...being human and not being perfect. Greetings from Germany bjmonitas

Yes,a blocking episode would be wonderful, along with how to make sure your beautiful sweater will fit, which might mean some info on swatching too. I have knit since I was a young girl but never really done much with sweaters because of the cost and fearing it won’t fit. When I see all your beautiful sweaters, like on this episode, I want to branch out from socks, hats mittens etc. I would love some help with getting past the fear of wasting time, yarn and money by having some knowledge that will help me take the leap into sweater knitting.
