Great video, Rust, as always! I actually watched it with my mum, who's an LSE and a SO1. Some traits you mentioned didn’t quite fit her, like being annoyed by emotional expression or feeling unsure in relationships-she's fine with both. However, her focus on applying methods at work and creating an aesthetically pleasing environment definitely resonates with her, along with other traits that clearly make her an LSE. Overall, I agree that the characteristics you described generally apply to LSEs.

Aushra has written something about LSEs emotion too "The LSE does not speak of good things, which they take for granted. Their grumpy emotions tend to suppress the emotions of others around them. The LSE believes that excessive emotions tire people and, as far as their dual, the EII is concerned, this is true."

@@Just_Rusted I mean yeah I for sure agree that this applies to many LSEs, including many I've met personally, however I don't think this necessarily applies to my mum though, she's a fairly positive person most of the time. I guess she's kind of different than most LSEs in that sense ig 🤷♂

@@Just_Rusted I mean, because she's for sure an E1 and Te base and Si creative fits like a glove tbh. She's very perfectionistic, organised, methodical etc. Very focused on doing the right thing, and applying methods on others, but can also be sometimes critical and believing that she is right about everything and can be bossy as well. She's in no way an Fe base, she isn't really focused on emotional expression or influencing the moods of others and she's in fact also quite reserved. But she's not an introverted type either, since she's so focused on the outer world and correcting people and situations. I think she can be overwhelmed though by too much emotional expression and maybe dislike when people around her act too irrationally, so that might be an indicator of Fe- prehaps. I think she just is a more accommodating SO1 ngl.

Excellent description of my father in law, absolutely all the details you mentioned. Loves his pringle shirts and BMW. Very aware of status and possessions, but not in an E3 way. Well done, I was looking forward to this. They can be real difficult people and when they are enneagram 1, fuuuuck, that judgy perfectionism and controlling OCD, coupled with pride and a pathological need to tell everyone what they should and how to do it.The man once bought me house cleaning products when they visited 🤯 No wonder my husband is E9 😂 you need a real thick skin and colossal powers of anger repression to deal with estj E1. There's good qualities too of course. The Arny clips were great. Cheers Rust!

True, their Suggestive has only 1D of info, but LSE is motivated aspirationally by 4D valuing Fi. In fact, model G shows that privately LSE makes contact with sensation and ethics the way an SEI (mbti-ISFP) does publicly. And this means taking their partner to nice restaurants and surprise dates.

As an EII enneagram self preservation 4W5 INFP I would never get along wth an LSE. I generally do not do well with anyone trying to boss me around or telling me what to do. Probably would fly in a blind rage and punch them in the face especially if they are in my personal space. However, there are some aspects that I respect about the LSE because as a self preservation instinct type 4, I also believe in hard work, some measure of suffering to earn what you want and doing a job well. I am also a perfectionist. I cannot stand charlatans, people who talk but don't produce anything or liars.

my LSE mother is constantly angry. there are those rare moments she is integrated to 7 tho. I understand where her anger comes from but I cannot agree with the way she expresses it. she believes herself never wrong. She is quite unable to see her own faults (like blind to it!) because in her mind she is right and has done no wrong. it's almost insane to me. she could potentially be a narcissist, but she gets along well with strangers. but she heavily verbally abuses my family. she becomes hysterical. she will almost daily if we are all together complain/blame/rant at us for 30 minutes-1 hour straight. her Ne is also fucking annoying to me, she cannot say anything simply and uses way too many details. she seems to talk a lot without saying anything meaningful. and she ACTUALLY talks about the weather everyday like the stereotype of a normie. it's always "i'm this or I'm cold" she is such a baby to me and it literally disgusts me as an intuitive. she wants to be treated like a baby even tho i'm her daughter. being around her my whole life has forced me to disintegrate to a 2 as she would disintegrate to 4 and throw tantrums and crying fits cuz she feels like a victim. i understand tho, her arranged marriage to my sp7 dad was terrible.... (it's a little better now after 27 years, they both are VERY sx blind, I feel like this marriage beat them down). she is so/sp 1w2. as sx/sp 4w5 i always felt like she and i were strangers. very weird/cold dynamic. she took 0 interest in me all my life (i think cuz she is sx blind). she can be chill sometimes cuz Si. and she gets more openminded as she gets older and older so that's good. i get more proud of her as i, too, get older, and appreciate the fact she stayed with the family. she was in her weird way extremely generous. so that is not wrong. i know she loves her family, she is just so sucky personality wise sometimes. thats like every Te dom tho lol (got an ENTJ grandma too). ENTJs are more cool i guess. more laidback when it comes to details. they are restless tho, can't stop moving.

i just overall prefer Ni-users even tho i'm infp. there is always friction with every type im realizing. things are relaxed with fellow ne/si users, but there's more of a dynamic with ni/se users even tho we work differently. hence why i feel better around entj than say estj. i had an istj boss just about ready to fire me, i left before he could LMAO. but then i have an INTJ boss and he was so lax on me, he just "gets" me. like yeah we are BOTH not detail oriented lol. i quit and he is still okay with me working there again if i want haha, he grants me FREEDOM. he's like yeah go find yourself! even if it's risky lol. XSTJ need proof of you following your dream for it to be valid, thus se users are better for them. Ni is more individualistic, i think by the sheer reason it's rarer. if ni wasn't rare oh boy would that be suffocating a lil bit.

The criticism of appearance is so true with this type even with my father, I found him unnecessarily fussy about the aesthetics of something. If someone is not in their optimum physical shape in his life, he points that out again and again and with a lot disdain. He attributes being ugly to being physically unfit. He is also really irritated if someone cuts corners. I as an LIE, Can spot where he is wasting his energy and time from a mile away. He doesn’t. He managed to do well in his career and always attribute his success to sheer hard work and will power. There was no strategy. It baffles me beyond belief how he worked his entire life without a goal in mind. This type is an interesting one. Estj infuriate me so much but I do like them at the same time because we have similarities but differences are big too. I have no respect for tradition. I embrace and advocate for change and novel ideas. They are too rigid and closed minded. They are inflexible and arrogant and I’m entrepreneurial and inventive.

PLEASE GOD, allow us to learn the distinction between LSEs and LSIs--in what universe does Gordan Ramsey and Judge Judy try to "control their anger" or follow normative Fe etiquette? Definitely not this one. They routinely do the opposite, which is why, in part, they are so popular. They have no problem displaying their RAGE, whenever, and, however, it manifests--they have no decorum in that aspect.

Ramsay who imposes methods on everyone else on HOW to do X Y Z thing is Te ignoring now, sweet. 3. “Rage is the mighty god of the strong.” Tends to knock people out of complacency. The LSE does not speak of good things, which they take for granted. Their grumpy emotions tend to suppress the emotions of others around them. The LSE believes that excessive emotions tire people and, as far as their dual, the EII is concerned, this is true. In a conversation they press on the interlocutor, even trying to intimidate them, but if others are not afraid, they show courtesy and politeness. They take refuge in rage under extreme situations where they cannot cope on their own.

The thing is, I don't take my car to the car wash every single day... ...just every other day 😅, and once in a while I will have to double up if it's exceptionally windy or dusty. I keep the interior exquisite with not a crumb on the ground or on the dash. Everything has to be high quality, clean and polished.
