Mr. Eustache's "Suite Concertante for World Woodwinds & Symphony Orchestra", was world-premiered on 2-8-09 under the baton of his fellow-countryman & most celebrated young orchestral conductor in the world, Mtro. Gustavo Dudamel, with his world renown "Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar". This 45 min. long-12 movements-21 solo world-WWs sonic-global 'tour de force' is a 'first' in the concertante-symphonic repertoire. It directly reflects the cultural-interconnected reality of our times: while inspired by different music cultures of the world it is formally based on the western classical music concertante-symphonic tradition.
Mov. VI. Central Europe/Spain 1: Prelude To Fuga Por Bulería: Short free, rubato introduction combines elements from both the flamenco tradition and Manuel De Fallas classical-symphonic language Lush string pads accompany the solo soprano saxophone, which performs in the Nuevo Flamenco [New Flamenco] tradition.
Solo World Woodwind Instrument(s): Flamenco Soprano Sax.
Mov. VII. Central Europe/Spain 2: Fuga Por Bulería:
This is a three-part baroque fugue, which simultaneously coalesces with the form, metric & stylistic idiosyncrasy of the Flamenco Bulería [Palo or flamenco rhythm-form based on a 12-beat compás or rhythmic cycle-with phrases resolving on beat #10]. This is Eustache's humble eclectic tribute to the greatest musician of all history: J.S. Bach, in the 'cadre' of this most challenging flamenco form
Solo World Woodwind Instrument(s): Flamenco Flute.
