Why turn into a pumpkin? Darnold is only 4 months, and 4 games in with this team, and in this offence. Why wouldn't he continue to improve as he becomes more conversant with the scheme and play calls and more time working with his playmakers??? They still made plenty of easily corrected execution errors in the Packers game. Two delay of games, and a wasted time out because the play calls were in late. Or the surrender sack where Sam turned one way but the RB was on the other side. Was it Sam or Aaron that got it wrong? Or the 4th and 1, at the end of the game, where Sherfield and Jones mixed up their blocking roles. Had they taken the right man, that play is a TD or end of game, and the score is 31-22 or 38-22, and everyone is talking about that game differently. They should be able to easily clean up things like that. I think we're seeing the floor of Sam, and this Vikes team, not the ceiling. So many analysts have Sam's ghosts stuck in their head making them think about pumpkins.

Throwing motion and footwork or the second most important qualities to being a good NFL quarterback the first quality is having the physical ability to play at the highest level. The third quality is obviously off the field stuff as far as character and leadership is concerned. If a player completes all three of those things, you should draft them in the first round Now think about Bryce young . Doesn't have the physical capabilities and has poor footwork and throwing mechanics. It gets real easy to determine who has a chance to be great at the NFL level. All you have to do is look for those three qualities The rest comes down to injury health and things like that

@@in2darabbithole967 I like how you bring up football IQ as if that really means as much as you think it means. Would you consider Brett favre or Cam Newton or even Eli Manning is having high football IQ. Those guys all threw tons of interceptions fumbles low completion percentage and they're all elite players in the NFL LOL Brett favre and Cam Newton were dominant MVPs and they definitely didn't have natural football IQ, but there were two of the most physically gifted players to ever play in the NFL. Like I said, you can teach an offense that works if the players have the first three things I said Hell there 's tons of extremely high IQ guys who can't play in the NFL cuz they don't have the physical stature. The mechanics to throw the ball the footwork and they don't have the character or work ethic off the field and that's what I meant by character by the way Good character as a prospect means you're doing your job, you're not getting into trouble and you're working on your skills so that would fill in the football IQ part. But what you're talking about is complete nonsense because that's like impossible to measure. You can't measure the IQ of a player by just looking at them. Put up big numbers in college because your IQ is really based on your physical ability. If you have a lack of physical ability to play, then you're going to be limited into what your mind is telling you to do You can be mentally the smartest quarterback on Earth but if you physically can't make the throws it doesn't matter LOL

@@in2darabbithole967 So Cam Newton and Brett favre and Eli Manning. All those guys went to Super bowls and won MVPs LOL and you're not considering that elite LOL. All three of those guys are either going to be in the Hall of Fame or barely going to miss it. Cam Newton is one of the few players to win the NFL MVP and a Heisman. He almost won a national championship in college and the pros as well, which is also extremely rare Would consider that elite. You don't know what the hell you're talking about by the way lol

The glorification of nerds with glasses and play sheets in front of their faces, instead of athletes on the field grows every year. Modern football is so weird. Good OC? Wide open recievers, QB is amazing. Bad OC? Everyone sucks.
