I'm 72 and I have eight grandchildren, two that don't know me because they're in Australia and they're 1 and 3. The other six I haven't been able to visit in almost a year and it's killing me. When I heard Taylor say she should have asked her gramma 'to write it down' I made myself a promise to write out stories from my life for my grandkids. I've started by writing down key words every time i think of a story. I have a list of over 200 story ideas. Gonna be a busy year 2021.

I can only describe my thoughts on these 2 albums in this way. If Folklore was a dreamy midnight confession, Evermore is waking up to a beautiful dawn break. Folklore crushed me and left me with a cliffhanger. It was raw and unapologetic in the best way possible. She still wasn't out of the woods yet. On the other hand, Evermore is very polished and bright but in a subtle way. It somehow gave us closure in the end. It's almost as if Folklore became a cheerleader rooting for Evermore because we haven't met the new Taylor yet. With Folklore, Taylor hopped on to the train. And with Evermore the journey began. I love them both and I refuse to pick my favorite 😁

Girl, don't worry. I lost both of my grandmas 7 and 4 years ago and Marjorie makes me cry ALWAYS. Everytime I believe I'm making it through the bridge hits and I'm holding back a sob. I still listen to it tho, maybe because it's been longer for me and it is not so raw. It feels like a bittersweet kind of pain because there is no fallen friendship or broken relationship, it is just honest love that will never end. It reminds me how much I loved them and no matter how much I miss them at times, it feels good to remember that love, even if it comes with a little hurt.

Ugh I feel this so deeply. I still listen to it, but only if I’m in the right headspace. It’s such an incredibly beautiful song, I genuinely love it so much. I agree, it’s a different kind of love song which is a super different kind of pain. It hurts, but I love it

I dont think I've listened to anything other than this album since it came out. I might possibly be absolutely obsessed with gold rush, coney island and cowboy like me, them three are just unreal. Gold Rush is so catchy but the lyrics are so good, Coney island is just beautiful and the harmonies in the background towards the end make it almost haunting and i love how well the vocals from Marcus Mumford go with Taylors voice in cowboy like me, think that is possibly my favourite song ever

she wrote these after.... they just kept writing and she wrote Happiness the week before she released the album. WTF. I loooooved folklore. It is almost shameful for me to say I like evermore better..... but I think I do. I think folklore is the better album, but I enjoy evermore more. I think folklore x RED = evermore. I always cry to Marjorie. Its lovely. You should watch the lyric video to Marjorie, it is videos and pictures. Its not stupid, Taylor writes lyrics so real and relateable that you can't help but cry. She is really good at that. Hate her for that. But, no one writes in such a way that brings those feelings back to the surface... she is amazing. Best closer IMO.
