At 14:32 mark, Rabea plays the Bender. At 14:40 mark, Rabea smiles and says, "That sounds good." Um...that sounded GREAT! Love everything about Rabea: his personality, his playing, and most important, his 'Fro! Ha! Cheers from NJ, USA.

First of all, THIS is a proper demo! Hats off to Rabea!!! My 12 points go to the Supreme. I love the fact that it's different, it's dirty and I love the extra features. Josh did a great job here on every one of these pedals. I'm not really into fuzz and when I look on Reverb and the price tags on fuzz pedals no-one ever even heard about (2nd hand), I don't even feel tempted. But these pedals sound great and aren't crazy expensive. I might buy the Supreme one day. It sounds killer!

Neil Aspinall dimed (germanium) fuzz in combination with the guitar volume gets you the quintessential “glassy strat” sound. And who spends that much on a stack anymore? You’re not in Iron Maiden, you don’t need that (those) stack(s). 😉

@@mikerodriguez1722 well the first fuzz (gibson) actually was intended to mimic a bass and some brass instruments. Anyway i think ff style fuzzes sound best when dimed with the volume on the guitar (preferably a strat) down to about 6😍

These fuzzes all have their place and Rabeah really knows fuzz. But to my ears admittedly not all that fuzz friendly, when he went back to the Supreme near the end, the only two words in my head were" noxious fart." What a greebly weasel fuzz fart machine. Like a raunchy squeeker that would give its "creator" a large "personal space" as the stench hangs and lingers, I don't think I want to get near one of those any time soon. But its a big world and somebody will use it brilliantly. Maybe Josh would make a supermegafuzzpack one giant pedal all 4 fuzzes called Fuzzbank for guys that need to have all four. Wicked expensive to build probably. I hqve had 2 fuzzes in my whole life so I am not a fuzz gut for sure. I had a Foxx Tone machine when I was a kid in the mid to late70's but it was a tone killer while off so I jettisoned it, the new wave of British heavy metal happened so I played in metal bands most of my career and switched to drums for the end of it and now I am old. But old with great gear! And I broke down and bought a fuzz, but I always take a left turn and go for the oddball, and I got a Catalinbread Karma Suture, a "harmonic percolator"type. So again, I stand way left of the norm. I would go for the "Fuzzbank" then ALL of my fuzz needs would be covered! Fuzzbank+Karma Suture= fuzz for every occasion! Come on fellas, we all NEED the Fuzzbank and only Josh might be crazy enough to make it, so I think I will go to his channel and plant the seed. Cool demo Rabeah, wicked job of making them all shine even my not favourite noxious fart fuzz.!

Rabea, great episode! You found a BIG problem with the Supreme, which is a dealbreaker for me. It cuts out noticeably when you play softer or hold a sustain too long. JHS needs to fix this, or tell us if the knob settings can help this. JHS also needs to maybe hire you to test drive BEFORE they release any more new pedals, since you found this problem.
@nathansturgess92
4 жыл бұрын
It’s not a problem, it’s a feature of the Super Fuzz. There are more tweak-able Super Fuzz circuits where you can make it less ‘gatey’, such as the Keeley Electric Mudd, but good luck getting hold of one.

These look bloody great. BUT... Why isn't the mode switch on the RIGHT of the unit? Fuzz usually goes first in the chain. And with the great top mounted Jack's you'd likely want to nuzzle it in close to the second pedal. (Board real estate is like gold!). However with the mode switch being on the left will need to leave a finger gap inbetween - or set and forget which seems a shame...

@Rabea I have a creepy fingers haraikiri, which is a superfuzz clone, and it sounds like a wind tunnel when it's engaged and I'm not playing. I wonder if Josh had a similar issue with the Supreme and that's why it gates out with softer picking? Or rather Josh included an aggressive gate to avoid the blast of white noise between notes? I have no idea. Just a guess.

That supreme with the tone switch and JHS mod in would sound sick on a down tuned guitar... And possibly sound like the Reapers in Mass Effect with some volume swell, possibly a pitch shifter pedal. also love the Crimson and Bender, they tie for me.
