Eli did or the defense did? Here are the facts: In the 2007 and 2011 playoffs, the Giants defense gave up an average of 15.1 points/game, none over 20 (NFL average was 21), and an opposing passer rating of 74. Eli still barely managed to win 5 of 8 games by 4 points or less on lucky last second plays. 2 of those 5 went to overtime in which Eli was 100% a non factor on the game winning drive that he was given credit for. The Giants literally could have won those games with almost any QB in the league, but not without what the defense did.

Yes, he had a lot of yards and TDs. If he was actually a good player, he would have had more. He had 16 years to compile totals. But, what about his average attempt? His TD % (TDs/100 attempts) isn't in the top 70 all time. His yards/attempt are not in.... Well, I would tell you but, the list I looked at only went up to 90 and Eli was not close to appearing. In 2018, I did a comparison of Eli to Ben Roethlisberger. BR had more yards and more TDs on EIGHT HUNDRED AND FOUR FEWER attempts than Eli. Philip RIvers had NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO FEWER attempts to have more TDs and slightly fewer yards. Aaron Rodgers had more than 100 more TDs than Eli on ONE THOUSAND FEWER ATTEMPTS. All are all time players, but here's my justification: Selmon represented greatest when there wasn't much to celebrate. He was our first great star, and will always be our first HOFer. Brooks is the greatest player in Bucs history, and is one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history. Nuff said. Barber is a legend for what he gave to the team in the 02 season, and as a leader of the team both during his playing days, and afterwards. He's still heavily involved and loved. And it doesn't hurt that he's one of the greatest defensive backs, certainly during his generation. And finally, Mike Evans represents the latest era, and most recent Super Bowl. He is the greatest offensive player in franchise history, a future HOFer, and one of the greatest leaders in team history. And he's one of the best WRs of his generation. Not much else to say about that!

I looked at those 4 they picked. There's a lot of teams on here where im like, that's recency bias, its not the right pick. But with Detroit I think they had a difficult choice. I would personally remove Johnson and put Lane in for what Lane did but let me tell you, I really wouldn't feel good about doing it. I'm convinced whoever picked the 4 for each team must've been a different person because again, the Lions is one of those where I found it legitimately difficult to take people out or put another guy in.

The 49ers' offense and defense on an all-timers team is in competition for best units of all-time! Both of them... This is that list(I HAVE A ? ON SOME, BECAUSE I DID THIS A WHILE BACK AND SOME OF THOSE MAY HAVE SINCE WENT IN): 49ers: Bill Walsh(HC) Mike Holmgren(OC) George Seifert(DC) Montana-->(S1)(HOFer) Young-->(B1)(HOFer) Brodie-->([B2]Tittle had a better career before coming to the 49ers, but Brodie was the only MVP as a 49er between the 2 and his stats embody that, too) Gore-->(S)(Future HOFer) McElhenny-->(B1--HOFer--million dollar backfield member) Craig(underrated runner, do it all back, and the inspiration for Marshall Faulk; I just know it; and, yet, he did some things better than Faulk) Joe Perry-->(S)(HOFer--million dollar backfield member) John H. Johnson-->(B)(HOFer--million dollar backfield member) V. Davis(TE-WR hybrid)-->(S1) Kittle-->(S2) Jones-->(B) 1. Rice(HOFer) 2. T. Owens(WR-TE hybrid)(HOFer) 3. G. Washington(4 out of 10 seasons over 19 YPC; once ran 100 YDS in 9.5 secs; OJ did it in 9.4; Hester was 9.523 secs; and he was the number 1 option on the 70s 49er teams) 4. J. Taylor(had the shiftiness, moves, toughness, and speed to do it all--4.67 40 YD dash doesn't do him justice, because he once beat Deion to the end zone) 5. Dwight Clark(number 1 option right before Rice made it big--for first 2 championship teams) 6. Solomon(4.25 40-YD dash and the deep threat for the 1st 2 49er SB teams) OL: Forrest Blue(C)-->(S) Bosley(C)-->(B) McIntyre(G)-->(S2) St. Clair(T)-->(S1)(HOFer) H. Mudd(G)-->(S1)(60s All-Decade Team) Cross(G/C)-->(B) Staley(T)-->(B)(Future HOFer) T. Williams(T)-->(S2-Future HOFer) DL: Nomellini(DT)-->(S1)(HOFer) Stubblefield(DT)-->(B)(DPOY) Dean(DE)-->(S1)(HOFer) Bryant Young(DT)-->(S2)(HOFer?!) Doleman(DE)-->(S2) Hardman(DE)[avg 10.7 sacks a season in 14 game seasons]-->(B) LB(OLB and ILB): Willis(ILB)-->(S1)(HOFer?!) Wilcox(OLB)-->(S1)(HOFer) Warner(ILB)-->(S2) Bowman(ILB)-->(B) Haley(OLB)-->(S2)(HOFer) Aldon Smith([OLB]-->49ers have run 4-3 and 3-4. Smith is your answer to L. Taylor and D. Thomas--situational)-->(B) CB: 2. Wright(one of the 80s very best, possibly the best of that decade) 1. Johnson(70s All-decade)(HOFer) 3. A. Woodson 4. Kermit Alexander(36 INTs in 7 seasons as a 49er) 5. T. McKyer 6. E. Davis S: Lott(SS)-->(S)(HOFer) Hanks(FS)-->(S) McDonald(SS)-->(B) Hicks(FS)-->(B) K/P Nedney Andy Lee Returners: A. Woodson(KR/PR) J. Taylor(PR/KR) And, I did not include the 1 or 2 year players. If Deion, Moss, L. Allen, Bruce, etc. got to play, it would be even easier with all of that talent. You'd have a great deal of trouble with Montana, those WRs, those TEs, Gore, the million dollar backfield members, and that dee! Joe Perry was even one of the greatest running FBs of all time! Montana would have a running game that could stand alone, Montana was very unselfish, and passing weapons that were likely unstoppable in totality. CAN YOU SAY LOADED?! I DON'T THINK ANY ALL-TIMERS TEAM DEFEATS THIS ONE! PLEASE TELL ME...

The first three with the Ravens are correct, but the fourth is so tough just because Lamar hasn't won a ring yet. If he wins a Super Bowl, which could very well happen this year, he will certainly be in the Top 4. For now, I think it's Ozzie Newsome because no one had a better track record at building his team through the draft and replacing free agents and coaches during his stint as GM (1996-2018).
