I haven't been to the one in Anaheim since like 2002, yes, that long ago, went to the Paris one in 2023, and even Anaheim more than 20 years ago knocks the Paris one out of the park, if I'm gonna pay for overpriced stuff, at least make it more creative and interesting. I did some research before we went just to see what was available and if reserving a table at Captain Jack's was worth it (it's supposed to be like Blue Bayou, but I looked at the menu and it looked subpar to Blue Bayou), I managed to find a hidden stand that served pineapple whip, and that was maybe the highlight of the day for food for me, lol

US parks it's about the snacks and quick service, Paris it's the table service restaurants that you want to book. Which fits the local attitude more in all fairness. Paris is the park where it gets busy later in the day, and people go back to the hotel for a nap mid day. It's just more laid back. So enjoy that time and book into the restaurants where the food is actually very good. If you stay on resort I highly recommend the manhattan restaurant in Hotel New York.
